“Had a wonderful experience at Charlie's. The wife and I went on a Saturday afternoon with the intention of having tenderloins. Upon arriving found they were having some fish specials, one of which being blue gill. Sorry tenderloin, not today. I got the blue gill, the wife however did get the tenderloin. My blue gill was wonderful, served w/baked potato and coleslaw. Potato was slightly under done, but nothing a little extra butter couldn't fix. And the coleslaw was really good. The wifes tenderloin (which she shared) was really good, nice thickness, seasoned well and cooked perfectly. The bun lacked a little, but wasn't terrible. The tenderloin is served with your choice of fries, regular, curly, waffle or tater tots. She went with curly, and they were plentiful, hot and tasty. The service was excellent, the staff was really friendly and helpful. The atmosphere was casual and fun to be there.Highly recommend!“

“Liked the Place. We were out at night and wanted a plated meal and was delighted to find that Po-Boys was still open and serving. Peoria does not have a true Cajun restaurant and I have been wanting to try it for a while. We had Toni (?) as a waitress and she was phenomenal . Atmosphere was great too - very comfortable. We could have just sat and watched the game with no food.. We really wanted to try New Orleans food and ordered a lot - a bit of everything - gumbo, Jumbalaya, Seafood, etc. The food was definitely Cajun Inspired albeit milder than true Cajun. It was still very good. Well presented and freshly prepared and the sauces were unique. We will come back and we know our kids would definitely love the Catfish fingers.“

Jalapeno Burger

“My buddy Darryl and I visited here for the first time today for lunch. We were the only ones in the restaurant when we went in and when we left. The business sets back off the main drag through town and isn't easy to even know it's there unless you live in the area. It's kind of like at the end of a strip mall, but it's a long large building. The inside had a huge bar and the usual bar & grill stuff like pool table, darts, bags, etc. One large floor that gives people plenty of elbow room for a large crowd. I was really mystified as to why we were the only people there and had a thought of just turning around and leaving, but the young lady that greeted us had a very personable personality and made us feel welcome. Her name was Breanna and very likable. We were seated and our drink order was taken and our menu was handed to us. I was surprised at how much they had to offer. We decided on the jalapeno poppers as an appetizer. They were outstanding by the way. We both loved them. Darryl had the jalapeno burger with fries and I had the 1/2 tenderloin sandwich and fries. Darryl raved about his burger and fries, not to mention the poppers. I found my sandwich to be just the right size and most of all the meat was thick and delectable. They sure don't skimp on the meat and quality one bit. We both loved the fresh french fries that are reminiscent of Big Johns fries from the old days of Johns BBQ. They were terrific. Best tenderloin I've had in a long time and their prices are reasonable as far as I'm concerned. The fries come extra, but only cost a buck. Can't beat that at all. They also sell Pepsi products and that is a huge plus for Darryl and his thirst for Mountain Dew. We will finally be back for some more grub soon God willing. I can't say enough good things with regard to our waitress Breanna and her personality. The best of luck to the business and the employees. Keep up the good work.“
