Jason's is a casual eatery where you will find a wide variety of sandwiches, soups, and salads. I go right to the salad bar. My friends like the sandwiches and menu salads. Don't pass up the cornbread Yum. Oh, and free soft serve ice cream for everyone.Vegetarian options: Salad bar is full of vegetarian choices.Parking: When the area eateries are busy you may not find parking close. You will find it, though.

I'd planned to stop somewhere else, but their parking was full. I decided to try Jason's because I've been by there a few times but never been in.There was some sticker shock when I paid, but I was optimistic. The server brought my food out quickly. Surprise! The sandwich was small and the bag of chips was small, too.I expected the beef to be more than just enough to cover the bread, but that's all there was. And man was it tough. After 3 bites I peeled off the cheese and dunked the bread in the au jus. Finished off the Ruffles and left a small pile of roast beef (3/4 of what was on the sandwich) on my plate and left. All this for $17.40! I could've gotten twice as much sandwich for less if I'd stuck with my original plan.

My wife and I were in East Peoria around dinner time. We decided to try a new restaurant Jason’s Deli. We arrived found a parking spot quickly. Waited in line maybe five minutes. I ordered the Ruben, the great sandwich. My wife ordered the chicken Alfredo. When the cashier told us our TOTAL was $36. I brushed it off new up and coming area. The “Levy district” and it was our date night. So I got our cups filled with pop and grabbed a seat. The food came out fairly quick. At first glance looks great. Until we tried it my sandwich was piled high with sauerkraut. Don’t get me wrong I like a lot on my Ruben. They had put roughly 2/3 inches worth on top of 1/8 inch worth of meat. The bottom of the sandwich was soggy and falling apart. Couldn’t eat it by hand. Ended up taking the tooth picks they used to hold it together. Using them to pick the meat off the soggy bread. My wife ate maybe half her small order. And told me something tasted off with the “chicken”. She legit ate most of the noodles. So I tried a bite and she was correct. In that her dish tasted like soapy napkins. I looked around for a manager did not see one so. We left and stopped at jimmy johns got a sandwich to take home because we were still hungry. Once arriving at home we both felt sick ?. This was our first and last time eating at the East Peoria location. For the portions we received the price did not match. The cashier was great.
