My friend and I had to come into Peoria this afternoon & decided we really wanted sushi! After reading reviews, we decided to give this place a chance & boy are we glad we did!We were seated by the robot, which was a little weird but kind of fun at the same time. Our waiter, we didn’t catch his name, was so sweet& nice! He made small talk with us & asked about our jobs when we knew we were from out of town. My friend has medical issues & he was so sweet asking her questions and being so polite. My sushi was absolutely amazing! My friend also got sushi & an order of Chicken Lo mein. It looked, smelled, & tasted delicious!! & our food was done within 10-15 minutes of ordering! Fastest sushi service we’ve ever received! Granted we had just missed the lunch rush but still very impressed! We will definitely be coming back again!

This was my 1st experience with Hibachi and it was absolutely amazing!!!! Our chef was phenomenal, friendly, and humorous with the kiddos. The steak, veggies, and rice were incredible. The steak was one of the best I have ever had and I eat steak alot!!! I will be back!!!1/20/24Another top notch experience.

Going out of business soon! Place was dead on a Saturday night. Walked right by the manager on the way out. He didn't even acknowledge us. Service was terrible & food was worse. Do not go there!

Ate at Shogun yesterday evening. Service was great, and atmosphere was pretty good. The kids enjoyed the robot that delivered some of our food. Our meals tasted pretty good for the most part. The tuna in one of my rolls was clearly not at all fresh, and was actually pretty hard and tough which was weird… Almost like a tuna jerky.. The worst part was the immediate explosive diarrhea as soon as we left. Myself and the two kids are still feeling pretty sick today. We will definitely not be going back.
Hibachi is fantastic. Fried rice is hands down one of my favorite items here. Food arrives quick. I've had go use takeout last few times I've come here and it's super fast and always fresh and hot. Will continue to dine here.

Service was great and the atmosphere was nice and clean. Cute little cat robot made me laugh. Food is good, the sushi was very fresh especially when compared to other places. Lunch special prices are also very good.

Went there for an anniversary. Service was excellent ?. Food was mostly good the chicken was dry and the "house salad" was FLOATING in dressing. Everything else was yum.

Made reservations two weeks before an event we had bought tickets for. We had a larger group from Work that wanted to have a fun dinner before the show. We arrived 30 minutes earlier than our reserve time and they seated us in a private room. We were at the restaurant for two hours, and the only thing we got was salad, we told the staff we had to leave because we had tickets for a show and they told us five more minutes before they would cook our food. We ended up leaving after two hours without eating because we were almost late getting to our show. It was so disappointing because we did plan ahead and made plenty of time to eat and ended up rushing across town to get to our show and we’re almost late getting to our seats and all of this was done on empty stomach’s. We ended up getting home after 11 PM and had never gotten any dinner.

Shogun is one of my favorite restaurants to go to. The food is fresh, there is a cute robot cat that waits you, and the environment is great. The one problem I could say is that it take too long for food to come out. I think the longest I’ve waited for my food was about an hour. Other than the long wait, it’s a great restaurant to dine at.
