The service was great but the food was just ok for the price we paid. We got the 30oz tomahawk wagyu steak that we shared. While the steak was good I don't think it was worth. 155.00 we paid for it. I have never had wagyu before and if that is what it is I'm not interested, I have steak in my freezer that is of equal quality if not better. The water was not good. The old fashion was straight liquor. The French onion was good but tasted like garlic bread soup. The whipped potatoes were decent. I am also not a fancy food person but I have had better on the Hill for cheaper.

Hit that Happy Hour at the Chophouse or Offshore. Great deals & great food. The beef tenderloin kabob is delicious!

Perhaps dinner is a better experience but breakfast on a Sunday was extremely overpriced and unfulfilling. I ordered the French toast and what appeared was one piece and a half of French toast on a dinky little plate and that was it. They charge nine dollars for that. Waiter was distracted with bigger tables than ours. We will not be going back. Less they’re hungry and unsatisfied.

Went to dinner with a friend. Our waiter was pleasant, and overall, the food was good. The only thing was I ordered the brown sugar chicken as I wasn't in the mood for steak. The chicken was disappointing. It had zero flavor, and the brown sugar reduction served with it was bitter. However, everything else was great. We had crab cakes as an app, wine, & dessert. I believe it's called a chocolate tower? Anyway it is served warm with ice cream & taste just like a Snicker. I would go back. I just wouldn't get the chicken again.

Lunch at 1818 is a must. The new Cuban sandwich was fantastic. The bread was a unique twist and worked perfectly. 1818 is a fantastic evening location, just don't forget it for lunch.

The "bagel" seasoned potatoes were pretty disappointing. Definitely felt they had been sitting around for awhile. Also, the au poivre sauce was the strangest version I've ever had and really seemed way off in flavor (and the look was odd too). Overall, we were pretty disappointed. The service was good so no complaints there. Just expected way better, especially for the higher cost.

Magnificent. Walk-in at 7pm on a Thursday night. Sat at a high-top table in the bar area. The bartender waited on us and the service was great. We ordered the goat cheese-stuffed dates. The burger, the chicken sandwich, the steak salad, and the mushroom ravioli. Everything tasted fantastic, but the ravioli was the best. It tasted like a rich steak sauce. I need to come back just for that. I took the chicken sandwich to my friend at work the next day and he loved it. My left-over steak salad was just was good the next day. Bringing more friends to eat here soon!

1818. Wow. I really cannot say enough good things. The food is phenomenal. The service and atmosphere are out of this world. The owners. Wow. They make you feel like this is your second home. Fantastic all the way around.

We were very rudely asked to leave the restaurant because the restaurant had overbooked and wanted to turn tables faster. I have traveled the world and dined in the finest (as well as the humblest) restaurants of North America and Europe. Never did I encounter a situation where a waiter would interrupt people in the midst of the conversation and tell them to leave because their (reserved well in advance) table was needed for somebody else.I've been patronizing Chophouse 1818, and they used to be a great place. But now they have grown too big for their britches. They have a line of people out the door, on a cold winter night, to whom their promised a table and couldn't deliver. So they throw out the customers who are already there.I'm not going back and I will tell my friends to stay away.
