Went in to order a sandwich through the app using a reward. Not a single customer waiting. Not one employee could be bothered with helping me get the order placed. Usually never have problems and always enjoy their food but the service at this particular location was terrible. Wasn't even able to order and went to Quiznos.

If you want a really yummy sandwich, this is the place to go! They will make it anyway you want, plus they have the usual favorites. I love it because they warm it up! The sub roll is my favorite bread. It's always fresh and soft. The staff are always friendly. It's decorated with lots of fireman pictures and signs. It's laid back and clean. But the best part is when you eat here, you're helping out the firemen! Win Win!

One of the best restaurants for tasty subs! Not as cheap as the other big chain but for the price, the food is much much better. The workers at this location are polite and efficient so get you in and out quickly for carryout. I went to the new Edwardsville location last Friday. It was right at noon and somewhat busy. I was greeted by a very friendly lady at the counter. I ordered the medium size steak and cheese with a bag of chips and soda. She suggested a pickle and I took her up on that. Every table was full and I intended to dine in. I had to be very strategic waiting for a table to open up. When they called my name the gentleman that prepared my sandwich was also quite friendly. I was a bit disappointed from there. The "medium" sandwich was a very small medium., more like a schmedium. It was also lacking in steak, one of the key ingredients in a steak and cheese. The pickle was still frozen, but was quite spicy. I paid about $17 for my meal and felt like I got taken by about $5. The flavor of the sandwich was good and it was hot and fresh but definitely lacking in the amount of meat. I want to like Firehouse Subs, but this seems to be a running theme in their business model.
