Wow, the waiter SUCKED today. Leilani B kept going missing. There was a whole row of tables and EVERYONE was looking for her and getting frustrated. I look to the bathroom every time she left that she had the runs, NOPE she kept getting lost in the kitchen like her first live was there and should could stop flapping her gums to actually start working. Salmon was dry, my burger was dry, mac &cheese tasted like NOTHING… the drinks was good tho 7/10 cause they stingy with the alcohol.Lelani B… DO BETTER.

I found hair in my fries. I paid my bill in cash.It took the waitress ten minutes to bring me my change. I think my waitress was high because when we asked for a box to take food home in.She looked at us like she didn't know what we were requesting. We had to ask for more drinks instead of her coming over and asking us if we wanted a refill.

If somebody really ranked Applebee's wings as the best, I'm missing something. These wings are terrible. Slow refills on the tasteless wings, no refills on the fries and overall poor service. Maybe there's better at other locations but I'm not seeing it here.

I hate to be a person who leaves a bad review, but it just seems like this place isn’t doing its best lately. I went here recently and they messed up my moms wing orders, and took forever to serve the food (nowhere near close and the place was empty)Today, same thing with the waiting time and service. It’s not our servers fault, at all, and they were very accommodating, however the place is empty and the food still takes 30+ minutes to come out, and when they finally did my steak was overcooked (ordered medium-rare) and my moms food came with onions (she said no onion) and then when they brought back our food my moms chicken was dry and my steak came back undercooked (basically raw).After voicing these complaints, it also felt like the server neglected to check on us more (we assume they were probably embarrassed) but again, we don’t blame them.Up to you how you want to feel about this review, it’s not like applebees is state of the art anyways, but it was bad enough service these last two times I felt strong enough to leave a review.

Our recent family dinner experience at Applebee's in Elgin left much to be desired. While our waitress was trying her best, it was evident that she wasn't receiving adequate support from her team or manager. The food itself was average, falling short of both our expectations and previous experiences.One major issue was the oversight in taking our order, resulting in one of our children waiting considerably longer than the rest of us to receive their meal. This left a sour taste in our mouths as a family, and it was disheartening to witness another table's frustration escalate to the point of confronting the manager about his apparent lack of assistance to the staff.We understand that every establishment has its off days, but the lack of coordination and support we witnessed during our visit was disappointing. We hope that Applebee's takes steps to address these issues, as it detracts from what could otherwise be a pleasant dining experience.
This was a second choice for my son and I, but the first place, old republic, left us sitting at the table for 15-20 minutes and still no server, we left and went to Applebee's, server was at our table taking drink orders within 3 minutes, just how I told my son it should be. Some of these other restaurants need to go out to dinner and take notes! Thanks Applebee's staff!!

We went on a saturday night, They were pretty under staffed , we had a 30 min wait for a 2 top & the restaurant wasn't even that busy. This coming from someone who's worked in the restaurant industry. me & my GF had meals off of the 2 for 25$ menu. The food wasn't that bad for the price. The atmosphere was, to say the least "dead." it was unusually quiet for a Saturday night, no music, no conversations, all you could hear was the host calling names. Our server was a nice young guy. He seemed new & a bit nervous, but no worries. He did good. Overall, it was quite an interesting experience, but we won't be returning to this or any other Applebee's in the near future .
