I was really disappointed tonight. I ordered through Uber from the Elgin location. My order was not all accurate and I was missing a drink. I’m not upset about the food as much as I am at the ignorant man who answered the phone at Big Sammy’s and pretty much told me to pound sand. He just kept telling me he doesn’t work for Uber and I kept telling him “but you made my food and it’s wrong.” If that’s the way they conduct business then I will spend my $65 elsewhere. What a terrible way to treat your customers.

They closed up the one elk grove location; they say due to high rent. Well maybe it was bad food. Went to Elgin shop. Apparently spices for the Italian beef sandwiches cost too much. The most bland sandwich i have tasted in a long time. My female friend said" if I wanted a bad beef sandwich I would have gone to the grocery store and bought the frozen ones" . Then the dried out tamale just added insult to injury. Wasted almost $24 last night on a really bad meal. Prices went up, quality went down. Sammy must be living too high a lifestyle. Try other places; I will

No thanks! Food is mmmhhh atmosphere not a huge fan. Jesters in Elgin off Big Timer and McLean, I think is better overall.

With the business name Big Sammy's Hot Dogs, I would expect much better. Definitely not a Chicago Dog. Dry, unsteamed bun without poppy seeds, no celery salt, pickle sliver instead of spear, and barely warm dog. Will be driving to Portillo's when they open soon in Algonquin.

Very friendly welcoming atmosphere, the hot dogs were great. So we're the fries with cheese. Better then portillos by a long shot. The salad wasn't my cup of tea, but I did love that it came with cucumbers and tomatoes. Definitely freshly prepared.
