Tasty bbq. Burnt ends, brisket and pulled pork wrre all good. Piece of corn bread would have been nice to include instead of ala carte.

The brisket was extremely dry, the mac and cheese had no flavor and the only saving graces were the pulled pork, rib tips and sauce. Otherwise it was just overall bad and not fresh and disappointing.

Got delivery from here tonight...food was pretty good! We got the brisket and pulled pork....both were really tasty. The sides were flavorful and good as well! We got: baked beans(really good), puerto rican rice, mac n cheese, pineapple slaw, and corn bread...all were good. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars was cause the grubhub driver was late. We will get from here again....glad we tried this place!

Staff and location are nice. Food was not so good. Most of us who ate it got very sick. Most the food was pretty dry and lacked flavor. Had to cover everything in BBQ sauce just to get it down.

Skip the Mac n' cheese, but grab yourself some brisket and smoked ribs. The BBQ cheddar bacon burger is pretty good too.

Not a fan of this place...staff was the best thing from here. My rib tips looked burnt, hush puppies were dry and not fluffy. But the bbq chicken was good. I guess when you have Famous Dave's this place does not replace it. They have of many sides to choose from . We ordered mac and cheese but my son tasted it and don't eat it. I didn't try the pulled pork maybe that would be good but I'm not going back there for the bbq.

With hard to beat prices (especially as it relates to their lunch specials), Elgin BBQ Pit flirted with a possible 3.5 to 4-star rating. However, when all was said and done, I just couldn't quite convince myself that their food itself was better than average. The pulled pork sandwich was solid enough, as were the wings. This is not a bad thing, as you get what you expect for BBQ but won't be hit with a "wow" type moment. It's reasonable quality, plenty of side options, and you'll leave satisfied. It just might not show up on your radar when you're trying to figure out where you want to revisit.

After seeing this place on "Chicago's Best" I had to check it out, today was the day!I arrived right as they opened and placed my order, the BBQ brisket platter w/ 2 sides. I chose the jalapeños slaw and Mac n Cheese. I should also mention they have Coca-Cola here too, cans AND glass bottles, a big plus IMO.My lunch was ready ontime and I got started. I chose the hot BBQ sauce and I knew right away this was going to be good, REAL good!! The brisket was very tender and I received alot more meat than I was expecting, a win win already. The jalapeños slaw was extremely good, never had that. Now it may sound spicy because of the jalapeños but it really wasn't overpowering one bit. The Mac n Cheese was your basic, straight ahead style, good and especially good if you have kids with you.I will definitely be back and already know what I'm trying next, the burnt ends, Puerto Rican rice and cornbread. BTW I know I said this earlier but the hot BBQ sauce is A M A Z I N G?

My son had the idea to try you guys today and what a great idea got the ribs , pulled pork, bbq beans,Mac and cheese and all were outstanding , ribs were actually perfect for my taste any time you can see a pile of clean bones you know something was done right can't wait to try the BBQ chicken will be ordering every week or so what a pleasant surprise!!!!?
