I have to say thank you to the restaurant employee, Angelo, who went out of his way to return a lost wallet. The wallet was lost in uptown Elmhurst and we searched all the areas where it might have been lost. Later in the evening a man showed up at our door with the wallet. He said a person found it and brought it into the restaurant. He was so thoughtful to bring it to us and was not expecting anything in return. This local family owned restaurant serves delicious food and has exceptional customer service! I highly recommend and I plan to keep it on my favorites list!

I went here a few days ago with my friend to catch up and it was amazing. Really fun restaurant design, they have a very unique style. I felt myself constantly looking around at all the fun little details there. As soon as we got to the front desk and a hostess was immediately there and ready to help us. I ordered the Linguine Alle Vongole. My friend is vegan and asked the hostess if they could remove the cheese from the Grilled Eggplant. The hostess was very kind and checked with the chefs. The service there was incredible. We got drinks from the bar, the mood there seemed fun, and then we were seated. We didn't have long to wait before our food arrived. It was so delicious, me and my friend both agreed the food here is fantastic! We had a very good time here and cannot wait to return!

If I could give lower than a one star rating I would. I had a funeral luncheon there today and it was horrible. We were supposed to have a bar tender in our room but they didn't have one. I paid for pitchers of pop on the table but they ran out of them. They served our salad and we had to ask for clean plates fir our food (was family style). The waitress had her shirt on inside out. We asked for container for the left overs because we were going to take them to our fire station and they said we couldn't take it because they made food for 40 people and only charged us for 34m. All in all a mess.

I attended a funeral luncheon here today and I have to say I how disappointed I was to see how rude the staff was to the grieving widow. When making the reservation she stated she expected about 30 people, but the undertaker had called ahead from the cemetery to let them know there would be 38. When we arrived they only had the original 30 seating set up, they did have plenty of time to set up the extra table before the family arrived. * Staff were very slow and not very attentive * There was supposed to be a bar set up, but due to under staffing on their part that was not available. * They were not able to provide pitchers of soft drinks on each table due to the fact they did not have enough pitchers ( there were only 4 tables, you would think a restaurant that advertises they do large banquets and funeral luncheons would have at least 8 pitchers for soft drinks) * Meal was family style food was good, but after the family style salad was served they did not remove the salad plates and we had to ask for a fresh plate for our main course. I do think they expected us to eat the main course off the same plate that was full of salad dressing. Desert was Italian ice, but they must have been short on spoons too, because that was served with table spoons. * There was plenty of food left over in the family style dishes, but when the staff was asked for take home containers she was told she would have to pay extra for the left overs. She asked if they were going to just throw away all that food and was told no they would take it downstairs to the main restaurant. * And be careful using the elevator, my friend was stuck in there and had to call the restaurant on his cell phone to get someone to assist getting the door open, because nothing happened when he pushed the emergency button. I would NOT recommend Angelo's in Elmhurst

It was a great slice of lasagna! To top it all off, the canoli was good, too.

A well deserved 5 star review. I attended a Banquet today, the restaurant was awesome. We had a 40 plus size group. It was served family style. We had plenty of space to roam from table to table and visit. The service was stellar, and the food was top notch.I would highly recommend hosting an event or dining at Angelo's

We love going to the deli on the weekends. we gave the bar a try and seemed lacking in atmosphere and flavor. We have solid choices in Elmhurst, if you're going to standout...gonna have to try a little harder than this. Spend less time saying hello to those you know and perhaps welcome some new face and learn a thing or two.

They had a banquet going on and the service was bad in the restaurant due to this. Looks they didn't have enough cooks or waiter to handle the restaurant and banquet. The soup was service cold and they took a long time in getting us the food. People were walking out on them since they were taking long in getting peoples orders. Not sure if it was the manager or owner but he was not helping the waiters at all. All he did was walk around. The only time he walked to our table was to process the payment!

This was not a positive experience at all. It was crap, through and through. The service was slow and rude. I think disinterested is a better word. That dude couldn't have cared less if we ate dinner or paid our taxes. He was not going to be attentive or polite. The food was garbage. Their "marinara" was thick ketchup with less flavor. This is the only Italian restaurant in the free world where you walk out and are still hungry. The amount of food on the plate - made me think I ordered off the kid's menu. When I asked for some Hot Giardiniera - he brought out two thimbles full. He asked if I wanted both. I said I NEEDED both. Also - I asked for Italian dressing and got balsamic dressing. I was too hungry to wait and this cat was not coming back any time soon. I was famished so I ate - but would have gotten better food at an Olive Garden in Kentucky. My date's seafood salad was interesting. I didn't know celery was a seafood. Her salad was basically celery and some thawed out calamari rings. I told the waiter they were frozen. He promised they were fresh and freshly prepared. He lied. They were frozen and then thawed and thrown in a bowl with some oil and a lot of celery. My date has never sent back a meal - ever. This was the first one I ever saw her refuse. The calamari seemed to have the word GOODYEAR stamped on the side of it. There is nothing anyone can ever do to get me back into that place. Bad food. Bad service. This place should be condemned. Go across the street to The Rainbow Cafe for a good meal. This place is awful.

Was there for special event, seems that they were not ready, tables were set up but nothing else, 45 minutes before any appetizers were available, the bar was laughable, I have seen dive bars with better set up.
