Don't sleep on any of these Kribi Coffee establishments. Their coffee (black no milk or sugar) is the MVP of this place. Service is quick and the donuts!!! Let's just say I can't wait till the weekend to go back.

I stopped to treat myself while I had a few hours without kids and it was great! The coffee is smooth and flavorful (not watery!) and the gluten free muffin was separately wrapped. The muffin tasted almost like cake but still had a good crumb.

I had heard of Kribi quite a few times but never got a chance to visit since I do not live nearby. My parents and I were in the area for a doctor's appointment and decided to stop by. My go to drink whenever I am checking out a coffee shop for the first time is an iced vanilla latte made with oat milk. The one at Kribi is solid - the vanilla flavor does not taste artificial and the espresso itself is strong and smooth. My dad ordered an iced hazelnut latte made with whole milk and said it was one of the best hazelnut lattes he'd ever tried. My mom ordered a regular hot coffee with cream. She said it was very good and not too strong. Kribi has a wide selection of baked goods and the bonjour bakery morning roll caught our attention. We ordered one to share and instantly regretted it. My mom went back to the counter and ordered three more to take home! The bonjour morning roll is layers of laminated dough filled with sugar. The pastry is flaky and pillowy at the same time. Definitely order one with your coffee! The people at the counter were so welcoming and friendly. The space itself is quite nice with ample seating and colorful decor. Kribi is a coffee gem in downtown Forest Park!

Service is worse than poor. We were told our plain coffee (nothing fancy) would be brought to us. Ten minutes later, we asked a staff member about it and she said "sorry, no understand.". OMG you have people taking orders and money that don't speak rudimentary English? We asked at the counter and nobody had a clue about our order. They shrugged and provided the coffee. I bought a HALF FILLED 12 ounce plastic cup of yogurt and fruit from the cooler. No prices on any of those items. It was over SIX DOLLARS before tax! Are you kidding me? This was my second and last visit. The coffee was meh.

I don't like coffee but my boyfriend wanted to try the coffee and we had been out walking so I needed some refreshment. He ordered a Latte and I ordered lemonade. My 8 ounce $3.50 drink tasted like they put a cut lemon next to a cup of ice water and decided to call it lemonade. My boyfriend said his latte was okay but nothing special. We won't be back.
Lattes are great, good beans and friendly staff most of the time. Im pretty picky but I recommend!

Excellent small speciality coffee and pastry cafe just South of the main streets of Oak Park. I got the more exotic sounding blend of which I asked about the origins and they weren't quite clear, but that wasn't as important as to how it tasted. I took a sit for a few minutes in their nice sunny small storefront and enjoyed the local vibe, with street art panels outside, before heading out for my day. Lovely little place, if I lived nearly I would support it regularly.
