Good food and priced well. The egg rolls are too thin and their dishes could use more seasoning. The place really needs some updating and cleaning. Last time I pick up you can tell something back up from the sewer

There was two mice running around ? We had already ate some appetizers which we thought were good not gonna lie. Then The food had just gotten to the table when we noticed two mice on the floor by a table on the corner of the restaurant. That totally just made us want to run away and throw up. The restaurant was basically empty and we told the waiter about the mice we saw. We were picking up our things to leave and we told him that we were sorry but we can’t stay and eat like that. All he said was that he knew about the mice problem AND he still charged us for the appetizers we ordered. He was more concerned about us paying than apologizing, or making things right by not charging us. Im not the type to leave negative reviews but this was just nasty! Ruined our night out.

Honestly, this has never been our go to Chinese restaurant, but we thought we would dine there this evening, because it was convenient, and we were really in the mood for Chinese. Well, never again! It is very telling that there is rarely, if ever, anyone in the dining room. This evening there were two gentlemen there when we arrived, and by the time we were finished, the place was empty. That would be no big deal if the place was clean. Unfortunately, it is overall rather dingy looking, plus one of our water glasses had lipstick prints on the edge. The waiter, who is very nice, did replace my glass, but halfway through the meal we noticed a very large bug crawling across the floor. We were not sure if it was a roach or some other type of bug, but it was virtually impossible to get anyone's attention to do something about it. I finally went into the other dining room, which was also empty, and told our waiter that there was a very large bug on the floor near our table. He came over, followed the bug for a few steps, and then stepped on it, smashing it into the carpet. Needless to say, we were unable to finish any of our food, and only took it home out of habit. I know mine will end up in the garbage. There was no attempt to apologize or excuse the conditions of the restaurant, which wouldn't have mattered anyway, since we will definitely not be returning.

Called and asked if I could order something without fish in it and they told me to cook myself. Very nice and great way to keep business

The dining experience at Red Dragon Chinese Restaurant in Elmhurst fell short of our expectations. While I typically try to emphasize positivity in my reviews it's not possible for me not to warn others. Upon arrival at the restaurant, the reception area and register were cluttered with remnants of last year's fallen leaves and miscellaneous paper waste. This was strikingly out of place, especially considering the pristine condition of the sidewalk outside, indicating that this is not a recent oversight. A simple sweep could greatly enhance the ambience here. Certain seating booths, including the one we occupied, exhibited signs of disrepair and were visibly patched together with red tape. The bench lacked adequate padding, exposing widely spaced wooden supports beneath weathered vinyl, resulting in an uncomfortable experience. The condiment bottles on our table, holding soy sauce, mustard, and sweet and sour sauce, were encrusted with grime and sticky residue, detracting from the dining experience. For appetizers, we sampled the shrimp toast, which was commendable for its moderate oiliness compared to other establishments. Additionally, the crab Rangoon offered a simple yet palatable option. However, our main courses, featuring shrimp with lobster sauce and lemon chicken, fell short of expectations. The former lacked complexity in flavor, while the latter's sweet sauce failed to deliver a prominent lemon taste and suffered from being overcooked. The restaurant's ambiance appeared dated and neglected, with minimal updates or cleaning evident over its 45 years in operation. Although background music played softly, the decor could benefit from a fresh coat of paint and a thorough dusting. The traditional Chinese Zodiac placemats added a cultural touch to the setting. The dinnerware, tableware, and glassware were appropriately clean. Our total bill for two, including appetizers but excluding alcohol, amounted to $50 before gratuity. Regrettably, it is unlikely that we shall revisit this establishment in the future.

Best Chinese in Elmhurst. Love the chicken noodle soup to start, pot stickers, and combination fried rice. There is plenty of protein in it! Get the hot tea!

I have been there for pickup orders 4 times. The food is good which is why I keep going back. My disappointment is that I have NEVER been thanked for my business.

We ordered our New Years Eve dinner as take away and the food was truly rough. Although we called it in and then showed up late for pick up, we still waited almost 30 minutes for it to be ready. To be fair, it seemed like the Red Dragon staff was having a hard night because they seemed a lot busier than they were prepared to be and many of their clientele were pretty grumpy about it. Our veggie egg rolls were tasty and absolutely the best part of the meal. I had the General Tso's Tofu and while it was easily the best entree it was t great. The tofu was pretty good but the veggies were over cooked and everything was drowned in a sweet and sour (not at all spicy) brown sauce. My MIL described her Singapore Noodles as not fresh- like they had been reheated from 2 days ago. My husband's Mongolian Beef was more onions than beef and was swimming in a strange brown liquid. His family has been going to Red Dragon since he was a kid, but I think last night will be the last visit.

We went to the Red Dragon on Christmas because they were just about the only restaurant open. Some of the food choices we're good are not great. The service was very bad one server for about 60 or more people when she was kind of rude and spoke under breath. Some of the meat products were overcooked to and tough to eat. This was the second time I had been to this restaurant. The first time it was just my wife and myself. There was only 4 people in the restaurant at the time the server was an older man very nice I think the restaurant problem is under staffed they should have had 5 servers, not 1.

We went there for Christmas Eve 2023. The restaurant was packed and only one server. She worked her butt off and we waited for our food. Truthfully it was worth the wait. The food was fantastic
