Great breakfast spot and a place we take our visitors. All of their coffees are great and we have never had anything on the menu we didn't enjoy. Service is always good too. We always use the yelp wait list when we go.

Was recommended Stray Hen Cafe from a receptionist in the area and she wasn’t wrong! Food was amazing. We were greeted and sat right away. Jennifer is a great server with a great personality. Will be returning again, it’s a must.

The best hollandaise sauce I’ve had. Ever. It’s made in house every day. And it’s PERFECT!I could wrap myself in it lol. It’s that good. The food is wonderful. All fresh. But the sauce. Unforgettable.Whenever I’m in Chicago, I come here for it.

Always a great breakfast! Love the options for the protein plate! Blueberry lemon cheesecake pancakes are so tasty!

Tasty comfort food with some good healthy options, too. The wait staff is on the ball and it's a pleasant environment for both adults (lots of coffee options) and kids (big windows from which to watch the trains go by). The only tricky part is the kind wait times to get in. Luckily, the building has elevators to ride up and down in to distract the kids!

Great restaurant. The waitress was a sweetheart. She made sure my toddler was comfortable.Highly recommended this place.Food portion was good. I ordered the chilaquiles and the plate could’ve easily feed two people. The mimosa flight was good and not strong.

We had the perfectly un-kosher skillet add mushroom, with upgraded blueberry-lemon cheesecake pancakes, the O'Brien skillet with sourdough toast, and a side of biscuits and gravy. Everything was delicious, the pancakes were amazing. Our waitress was awesome and always made sure we had everything we needed. We definitely will be back soon.

Better than the new egg harbor for sure! Still hard to find a restaurant that has comfortable chairs. Otherwise I'll go

Great food but terrible service! We were approached approximately 5 times in brunch in attempt to clear our tables as we were eating ( less than an hour in). We got the bill as soon as the food was delivered to the table. There’s a better way to handle Sunday rush but this wasn’t it. The manager came over and was also pretty unhelpful in trying to make us feel as if we weren’t overstaying our welcome. Do better ✌?

YUM! Took a chance on this place today- busy on a Saturday afternoon, 30 min wait and completely worth it. Wide variety menu (breakfast toast section) with unique options- (Reeses peanut butter pancakes). Anyone with any diet needs can happily eat here.

Food is great but the service is dependent on which server you get. One server there is super attentive while others serve the meal and disappear until the check arrives. That would work if everything required was brought to table but that doesn’t happen in my experience.

We love this Elmhurst breakfast restaurant! Friendly service, great menu variety and delicious food! Family friendly- both my kids and my parents enjoy it. There's indoor and outdoor dining in the summer too. And I truly appreciate supporting a local small business.

The food is top-notch! Their reuben on rye impressed the deli-snob out of me. The breakfast burrito will leave you stunned at having eaten the whole thing because you just couldn't quit it. Probably my all-time favorite. Also, they're really nice and let me get coffee to go sometimes. Thank you, Stray Hen!!

Delicious food and top-notch coffee. While they don't take reservations, the friendly staff and bustling atmosphere make the wait worthwhile.
