We checked in early for Saturday night of Labor Day weekend and were recognized for our Gold for Life Elite Status. We needed to empty the car to be able to put a wheelchair in and take my wife's 98 year old godmother to dinner. We were up late and didn't use the breakfast buffet which is available for an additional fee. The room was clean and well furnished. We only had one complaint and that was the beds are only double beds and creaked quite a bit both when you sat down and got up. They probably should have been replaced when the rooms were renovated. The staff was friendly and helpful. There was ample parking but the hotel is off a busy one way street so it was a bit adventurous getting out of the parking lots. We used hotel points to keep the cost down and will likely be back in a few months.

The hotel says it has an update, but it's just the lobby area. The rooms are old and smells like mildew. Rooms ceiling tiles have water stains and some missing, exposing pipes. I booked a room with a family rate for $335. Received my final bill and it was $385. Called the hotel to ask about the difference and was immediately meet with hostility from the manager Gloria. When I told her I had the email stating what my confirmation stated when booking. Gloria the manager then says "I will call your family members hotel where they work and tell them how you're acting and have them fired" I then told her I will just call corporate to handle this. Only stay here if your desperate!

Only got coffee here during my stay in the mornings. The lady there is excellent, works super hard and fast despite being on her own and goes above and beyond.

The most unrewarding experience I have ever had at a Marriott Hotel in my times of travel. Nothing worked at this place. I paid for a room with breakfast added and the burners were inoperable, customer service was very low and other amenities did not seem to have their customers at best.

Very nice, clean, updated hotel with great convenient location! Staff were all very friendly and accommodating. Loved the bathroom niceties from huge built in shampoo, conditioner body wash in the shower with great water pressure as well as the makeup remover towelette which saved a mess on the washcloth! Towels are large & fluffy, bed linens & mattress super comfy and crisp. I had read someone mentioned noise being so close to highway but we didn't have any issue with noise inside or out. Delicious home made complimentary cookies put out along with fresh popcorn in late afternoon bonus! We stayed here and Ubered to the Bulls game to save a very long ride directly from home & it was a great decision!

One night stay with friends while going to the Ohio State vs Northwestern game. The staff was very friendly and helpful, check in and out was a breeze. The hotel is clean and appeared to be newly renovated. Our room was clean, everything was nice and we didn’t hear any noise from outside our room. It’s located close to several restaurants and stores. It’s also a short 25 minute drive to Evanston. If ever in the area, we would stay here again

The hotel is showing age, it’s clean, dated and good proximity to highways for Oakbrook and ORD. Friendly staff, lobby bar and restaurant. If travel needs take you in nearby area, this Marriott offers a good option. Clean and comfortable option

If you decide to book with Courtyard by Marriott make sure you have a backup plan or are prepared to sleep in your car. Apparently their policy is if someone decides last minute to extend their stay, they will always say yes, even if it means kicking new arrivals out of their rooms. I arrived at the Glenview Courtyard at 12:30 am after my flight was late, only to find that myself and two others didn't have rooms because other people had decided last minute to extend their stay even though I had booked more than a month prior. So, since it's a holiday weekend and all the local hotels are booked up, I'm left with nowhere to stay and will likely end up sleeping in my car tonight. Needless to say I am furious and will never be booking at any Marriott hotel again.

I could not be happier with Courtyard Elmhurst. I am truly grateful for the entire staff during our family reunion this past weekend. They were so kind and attentive. My room was clean, quiet, and peaceful. All of my family agreed that they had everything we needed. Whenever I am in the area, there is no other choice for me.

***CAUTION LONG READ*** I began my stay with The Marriott on Elmhurst/Oakbrook on July 7th, 2022. visiting Chicago for my very first time and with all the things you hear about Chicago, I thought this hotel would be perfect for the first stay. It looked safe and to be in a nice suburb so it was perfect! Everything was as normal as any other day at any other Marriott, check-in was quick, everything was fine. The morning of the 8th, I decided to go down to the front desk to extend my stay for an additional night, an extra $260 swipe onto my card. In the midst of me doing this there was a discrepancy with my card on file to which Diana, the manager, was completely insensitive and quite cold about the situation. Almost as if she were implying that I didn’t have the money to pay them. I try my best to stay calm and rationalize in critical thinking moments like this. Once I explained that my card had actually been flagged the transaction for suspicious activity and that I had to approve the transaction manually, everything seemingly went back to normal. I swiped my card, requested for new towels and proceeded to go back up to my room. Another woman brings my towels up to me and as I am accepting them I am assuming she saw my dog which is a service animal, which whom I also check in with. At first I thought nothing of it because why would I? Not even 10 minutes later I receive a call from Diana at the front desk informing me that she had “gotten word” of my dog and proceeded to let me know that this is a dog free hotel. I then informed her that my dog was a service animal and I also had documentation if I needed to provide any of that to her. She then replies “ Well are you sure it’s a service animal? Or is it an emotional support animal? Because there’s a difference.” I then let her know that I am well aware of the difference and if it was a emotional support animal then that’s what I would have said. Diana then asks me “Okay, and what services do they assist you with?” Which if anyone has a service animal you know that probing and asking invasive questions like that is against HIPPA and also my medical privacy. Me being so flustered willingly let her know what service my dog assists me with. I ask her if she needed any paperwork because I would be more than happy to provide it. She then says “oh no as long as you say they are device animals you should be fine” So finally here I am thinking all of the uproar is over and I can finally decompress and proceed to planning the remainder of my day. I would like to say maybe 20-25 minutes later I get a knock on my door from another woman from the front desk and to my face she says this. “Um yes we’ve received numerous complaints about a particular marijuana smell that is coming from one of the rooms and we need to check the room to make sure no one has been smoking.” So granted I am a Marijuana smoker but I am also a silver elite member with Marriott, this is not my first stay, I am well aware they are a smoke free hotel and I know better than to smoke in a room.” I let the woman know that I do go down to my vehicle and smoke often so maybe my aroma can be smelled when walking back to my room? but rest assured I have not smoked in the room not once, not at all. The woman continues on her way, but somehow I just knew that this. Was not. Over. Me having bad anxiety, decided to just call the front desk to make sure there wasn’t an issue at foot. Diana the says that yes there actually is a problem, they run a smoke free hotel and since I had “been smoking” in the room they were going to have to ask me to recuse myself from the establishment. I tried my best to explain to her the circumstances and Diana simply was not trying to hear what I had to say AT ALL. When I finally realized that we were not getting anywhere, and how she was so ready to respond to everything I was explaining to her, I knew her mind was made up at that point. NEVER will stay here again, nor would I recommend. Hotel run down and employees rude. The breakfast was a joke. I ordered French toast. The preparer toasted the bread in a toaster, sprinkled confectionary sugar on it and served with syrup. The drink I ordered expired 2 months ago. My sister ordered a "Starbucks" coffee and it tasted like water. When she tried to get another cup, the manager was rude to her and gave her another cup of watered down coffee. Seriously, this is a Marriott???

I was at the hotel for a business meeting and although it has been recently renovated, it was lacking in some areas. Pros Close to the airport Very quick check in experience with acknowledgement of Gold Elite status Renovated Rooms Cons AC in the room was super loud and distracting. I had to keep turning it off to get some sleep, but they made my room too hot The bed was hard as a rock (I'm a side sleeper and woke up with shoulder pain) Very thin walls and you can here your neighbors Although the rooms were renovated, you can see very obvious wear and tear Not many food options near by or places to walk (the hotel restaurant did not have many vegetarian/vegan options) Overall room had a dak grim feel My company booked the hotel but will recommend them check other options in the area next time.
