This place is permanently closed. Drove over around 7p a few days ago since we were in the Elmhurst area-the place was dark so we called. Surprisingly, someone answered the phone and said they were just there cleaning up but they are closed for good!

Only giving stars because when our food finally arrived it was very good. What a clusterf*** this place is. When we asked for a table, but the two people standing there told us they weren't real employees. We were seated pretty quickly but we're told they were currently out of silverware. Got our drinks right away, but waited about 20 min to order our food. We received our salads but had to ask for forks. Another 15 for entrees to arrive; no knife for my husband's entree. We had to ask for that too, and waited as the food started to get hold. The waitress disappeared until we put our dishes aside. She picked them up and returned with our bill. Didn't ask how our food was, she must not have wanted to serve us anymore. I'm a former waitress and a very generous tipper- but not last night. The place was complete chaos- waitresses leaving dirty fish on empty tables and running all over. And finally what restaurant runs out of multiple beers on a Friday night? Total train wreck.

I try to have an open mind when reviewing restaurants but we ordered the ribs for takeout and they were beyond bad. They were lukewarm, the meat was extremely dry as if they had been reheated a few times. The salad tasted old also. Will not be going back

This is our go to restaurant for liver and onions!!!! Comes with mash potatoes and gravy. The atmosphere is nice, the servers are great. Parking can be a little awkward. An Elmhurst hidden gem.

Always a good meal here. Prices have risen but so have expenses.

Looks terrible from the outside, decided not to go in. First appearances are very important.

An Elmhurst classic. Support this local business because the food is the absolute best. The steak sandwich with the dinner salad is my favorite, but you can't go wrong with the menu. A true gem of a place.

By far the best BBQ sauce I have ever had. The ribs are incredible and this is a true staple in Elmhurst. Great service, local feel, and great quality of food

Extremely disappointed. As a repeat customer for YEARS, and this being a place family has come forever, I expected better. The bartender was EXTREMELY RUDE, and incapable of accepting the fact that they made a mistake. We ordered ahead of time for a 515 pick up, and when we arrived at 5:15, the bartender had not even enter the order for the kitchen. When she did enter the order, she entered it wrong because she wasn't listening and now we're out the money on our meal since there are dietary restrictions.

My family and I went to The Silverado Grill last night. Not the best food, but great atmosphere and generally well-run with Jack, the owner usually on the premises. Our family had not gone to a restaurant for about two years so this was special. I had called the Wednesday before to reserve a specific table, #22, in an alcove away from other diners. I asked for this table because we were celebrating my brother's and my husband's 80th birthday and my 75th. Because we are in the at risk age group for Covid, we did not want to be in the middle of the place among lots of other people. Also, my husband is a ten year survivor of cancer and a stem cell transplant who is now on dialysis so we need to be careful. The person who took the reservation was very accommodating and said she would put two tables together for our party of eight. We arrived on time and checked the alcove, which to our surprise, was completely occupied by a group of young guys! I complained to the hostess who said they had reserved another table for us in the middle of the room surrounded by other guests! We've been regulars at The Silverado since it opened in south Elmhurst. We know Jack, the owner, who is hands on and chose this place because it's well-run and thought we could trust them to honor our reservation request. To his credit, Jack did come to our table but only with a halfhearted excuse and offered no resolution or gesture of good will. Sorry to say that the experience was very disappointing and that we won't be back there for a while. I know that it's not the end of the world, but it could be for three senior citizens one of whom has pretty serious underlying conditions. I did all I could to ensure a safe family outing after two years and thought The Silverado was the best place for us. I certainly was wrong about this.

We've always liked this place and we were glad to be able to order take out during the pandemic. This is one of the few places we do feel comfortable eating at as of late. The food is always very good and the service great (especially from Ariane!).
