The inside was nice, but it was smoky There was one person running the whole thing and they were nice and the food was really good.

Love the atmosphere. The coffee is nice but it is kind of watered down. The bagel was nice as well. It's a great place to study or have a chat with friends.

lovely spot! friendly staff, unique drinks (black sesame latte is a must) with common asian flavors, hosts lots of community events. lots of pastries, and they're starting to make filipino dinner plates too! just make sure to check their Instagram account for their updated hours.

I'll give this place 3.5 stars. I was going to do three but then thought about 4 but after reviewing again I'll land on 3.5. TLDR - a lot of seating but some of the chairs hurt my back, the iced chai latte was just okay (kinda watery), but a great environment and great service I decided to trek up to Evanston for a change of scenery. I was trying to look for a place that had a lot of seating and good reviews so I came here. It was definitely busy - lots of students - but there was available seating. I ordered an iced chai latte with oat milk and an ube white chocolate chip cookie. They unfortunately ran out of oat milk and order before mine but one of the staffers ran to a nearby grocery store to grab some oat milk. The other staffer asked if I wanted to wait or if it wanted whole milk and I said I'd wait. I'm glad that they were able to get some additional oat milk! (I'm lactose intolerant.) I first tried sitting at the large communal tables in the back and those chairs hurt my back right away. The back part of the chair is curved and i couldn't sit there for long. A seat opened up at the counter chairs so I decided to move there. It's really tight seating (not fat friendly) and again the chair was starting to hurt my back. Overall not a great seating experience. I turned around and saw one of the individual tables opened up so I switched there and that chair felt great! I could see myself sitting in one of those if they're open but they seem to be pretty popular/not always available. (I wished I took a photo of that comfortable chair but I just took pictures of the other two chairs.) Lastly, the iced chai latte felt watered down and not that tasty. The cookie though was great! In all, would I make my way to come back here from where I live in Lincoln Square in Chicago? Probably not. If I lived in Evanston though, I might try going there on off hours to give it another try.

Great potential. Poorly executed. The place was dirty (dust everywhere) and cold. Doesn’t look like they do pour overs anymore so if that’s what you’re looking for go elsewhere. They were also out of bags of coffee and were unsure when they’d have more so if you’re looking for beans maybe call ahead to see if they have any. I ended up getting a basic black drip coffee and it was very mediocre.

Calm atmosphere, nice staff, and short wait. If you’re in the area I would definitely go!

Food here is great, coffee however tasted so unflavored. The first time I came here a year or so ago I had the best brown sugar latte in the world. I returned a few weeks after and the recipe had changed. I attempted to give them a second chance this week when I ordered and my drink which tasted like dog water. I’m not sure what happened but I ask that you guys bring back the original recipe from over a year ago. It was honestly the best drink I’ve ever had but now I’m just disappointed.

Awful ube coffee. I asked for her to recommend something to me, I had a sip, ugh, nothing like she described. "Do you want something else?" "Yes, please". Took almost 10 minutes to make (as I had to wait now for other customers) and she charged me for it. "I'd thought you were replacing this because what you recommended was awful" "No, we didn't make it wrong, you just didnt like it".Yeah, Ima gonna be disputing this second charge. Whole place has a creepy pride month vibe too. I just want to see coffee shop stuff, not political stuff everywhere I go.

Very long wait, woman didn’t seem concerned. Finally got to me and was pretty short tempered, considering her role. Seemed like she was irritated that she had a customer who wanted to order. I got a small drip coffee and a muffin. The muffin was delicious, but the coffee was so piping hot, I thought I was going to burn myself through the cup… they were out of sleeves, which they did not tell me before serving me the obscenely hot coffee. Because it is so hot, I have yet to try it, but given my experience so far, and the fact that I went in there to buy beans, and they do not sell them… I don’t have high hopes for it to be good quality. My muffin cost significantly more than the coffee, which is a little unusual, I thought… although I guess I can say one positive is that the drip coffee is a good price point. However, is still out on if it’s drinkable or not.

Didn't taste much and 50% of my drink was just foam. The wait was fine, but for what you pay it isn't much.
