It's really a shame that the business enacted rules on where you can sit and when. I came in with a colleague to get a coffee and work on something together between appointments and the whole place was laptops at the bar and zero people seated at tables. The guidelines are use the bar for work. Fine, but there are two chairs available nowhere near each other and we came to collaborate. When we got chided about the rules we left. Drove by an hour or two later and still nobody at the tables. Not going to bother to go out of my way any more if it's a die roll on being allowed to sit with someone. While leaving it to the work from home crowd will draw ire, every time a business steps into this kind of micromanagement it drives people out and they take all the heat for it. Really big shame. Went to the Hyatt bar instead and they were happy to host us for a few drinks, but we lost time trying Pour. It sucks I feel like I have to walk back recommending this place because they would rather have empty tables than customers.

A perfect environment for student entrepreneurs or just to have a coffee with a very friendly team, I visit many coffee shops around Chicago, and I can assure you that the coffee is of high quality.A negative point that is now in the past is the arrangement of the food, there was often no food on the display, and I kept dreaming of something delicious to go with the coffee, and I had no choice. After two visits, the food problem was already in the past.Normally I visit the place 3 times before posting my experience with the place, but I can guarantee that the place is ready for all types of public.

I had a gift certificate and have always enjoyed their coffee…the last two times I’ve gone the staff have been bickering, and I’ve felt like an inconvenience for ordering. It wasn’t like this the first few times I’ve come to enjoy some coffee and company. Not sure what’s going on, but this morning when I went I waited to order because the barista was arguing with a customer and was asked several times by a fellow worker to stop but just didn’t. I felt awkward and want to use my gift card but don’t want to go back because I of it.

Parking: Paid street parking is available along Dempster St (which Pour is on), as well as around the corner on Chicago Ave.Wheelchair accessibility: Access is street level - no ramps needed. However, the doors are manually operated, so handicapped people may need to have someone open the doors for them.

The atmosphere and service is great. But my order was 12 dollars for something that tasted like regular lemonade. Maybe order something that is a safer choice.

Pour is my go-to coffee shop in Evanston. The decor is so elegant, the drinks delicious, and the environment feels like a neighborhood meeting place. As a student, I sometimes am bummed that they don't allow laptops at most of the tables to let people meet up, but it's one thing I also really love about Pour. They want to be a community place, so they protect that part of the experience.

I hosted a gathering at Pour back in November and everything was truly outstanding. My guests were captivated by the gorgeous space and terrific ambiance - each person mentioned that they could not wait to come visit again. There is something for everyone: the coffee was rich and satisfying, they have a lovely selection of teas, the wine list is impressive and their espresso martini is the best in the city! The owners were incredibly welcoming and gracious which added a personal touch to our experience. Highly recommend if you'd like to meet a small group of friends or clients in a beautiful + cozy space.

coffee and snacks are good. the sushi ordering is a great idea. the laptop rule is strange considering it’s to promote “human connection” while allowing people on ipads and reading books -alone- to use those same tables. that’s no different than someone on a laptop. be consistent.

The best (normal) latte I have had anywhere, ever. I drink a LOT of lattes & have ridden the spin 55 times.

Food: fine typical coffee shop food Service: ok. New laptop policy that feels passive aggressive by putting signs on tables that states "thank you for keeping this table laptop free" if you pull out your laptop a barista will ask you to move to the barstool. The barstool area is the only area where people with laptops can sit. Wrote an email to the manager about this policy and it felt passive aggressive as well. Did not make me feel welcome on coming back. Ambiance: fine

Wonderful place. Staff members are cool, competent, helpful, and kind - a rare combination! My husband had one of the best cups of coffee he's ever had. I loved my tea - they really know how to brew a good pot of tea here (also rare!). Delicious blueberry muffins. We feel luck to have found this place while visiting from Boston - will definitely be back next time we're in town.
