I like the burgers when they’re fresh, but after they sit for a while they’re not good any more. The chicken tenders are probably my pick even though they definitely taste very processed. Also, the fries are good, but often way too salty. Good place but can’t go every day for sure.

I wish there was the option of 0.5 stars. Fran's Cafe is hands-down the worst place on Northwestern's campus. The staff is beyond rude- my friend and I were waiting directly in front of the counter, and the lady taking orders directly overlooked us to ask the man behind us what his order was. When he said that we were in line, she straight up said "No they're not." Thanks to us speaking up and that polite man, she finally took our order. Her attitude was rude, irritable, and impatient in taking our order and refused to answer questions with more words than "No." Besides the rude staff, the food is also extremely subpar. They heavily advertise, and are known for their milkshakes, but every time we visit, they never have milkshakes, and when we ask, they get extremely annoyed. It says on the Northwestern website that they have "the best milkshakes," but I wouldn't know since I haven't had any yet FOR A WHOLE 3 MONTHS. They offer quesadillas, but one time we ordered them, they were green. Sometimes they give too little quantities, and you can't ask or else they will respond with a blunt and rude comment. Legit the worst place to eat on campus. -100000/10 recommend.

It's pretty amazing how late they open. I can always turn to Fran's when it gets really late

Cheese quesadilla is always there when you need it. Extremely wonderful and friendly staff.

I had the worst dining experience here in a long time. The items on the menu are overpriced and about as high quality as a sup-par burger king. It took 45 minutes for me to receive my order, a burrito and a milkshake. The "potato" in the burrito took the form of undercooked tater tots that were disgusting. The milkshake had gross strains on the outside and was extremely underwhelming. A burger king milkshake tastes better, costs less, and comes with whipped cream. I will not be returning.

They charge for water!!! It's $2.05 for a god damb cup of water. That's unbelievable that they charge for something that you need to live. It's too clean and boujee. The food is mediocre and the service sucks a*** The guy is so fake it hurts. Also the food is all different and none of it is good. They refuse to make what made Fran's great earlier and won't do substitutions. I hate it and they make me sad everyday that it's ruined.

I really like the atmosphere. It's very modern and Frances Willard probably wouldn't find the furnishings agreeable if she were alive today (rest in peace) but I think the ambient lighting and earthy tones create a warm and pleasant vibe that makes my chicken quesadilla much more palatable
