Food used to be good but somehow over past few months, it seems to have dropped in taste. Still, it's a reasonable go to place in town.

The wings are amazing especially the sweet & spicy flavor. You can’t go wrong with either bone in or boneless!

Wings were delicious even though they gave me boneless instead of bones. It didn't really matter because they were delicious. Friendly staff.

Service was great and the kimchi is some of the best I've had from any korean restaurant. Try the cheesy buldak!! ? Will definitely be coming back

The flavors seem more than slightly toned down here, to appeal to what they think is their audience I guess. And they have "timing" challenges. We did a pickup order and it was about 20 minutes later than they stated when the order was placed. But overall, not bad. That being said, there are a number of Korean places within a short drive and this place has not made itself a default. I will order again I'm sure and I will try different menu options.

I ordered the fried dumplings with pork, and the first one I tried tasted odd. I took a bite out of all 6, and all of them tasted sour, as if the filling had gone bad.

I made a pick-up order from here, remembering how much I liked their tteokbokki. It only tasted of bad chilli powder, hard rice cakes, and soggy tempura. Also ordered spicy chicken, and it was comparably bad. Too spicy, no flavors, dry&tough chicken. Taste was way below average, and the fact that these dishes cost $36 is simply nonsensical.

I ordered for take out.I liked how they had a closed off section in the entrance for pick-up and delivery, due to covid restrictions. I went inside to place an order and was pleasantly surprised to know that it'd be ready in 15 minutes. The tofu bibimbap was absolutely delicious. It smelled amazing, and tasted even better. The rice was perfectly done and the amount and variety of flavor in the dish was just perfect. The tofu literally melts in your mouth and has a great texture on the outside. Kimchi also tasted great. This is now my go-to spot for bibimbap whenever I'm in Evanston.

My first time eating authentic Korean food. Though I always have Kimchi at home, I've never dined out at a Korean restaurant. I came here shortly after they opened so their menu wasn't finalized. I had a hot stone bibimbap which was pretty good. Nothing that stood out or I hated. I also had a citrus drink which was very refreshing and complimented my main dish well. The staff is very fast and attentive. Would love to come here again!

Delivery. Okay, look. I'm amazed that I'm having to bring this up. But I'll get right down to it. Rice. Not in Korea, not in the US, have I been surprised by an order that not only lacks basic banchan - but no rice? Seriously? Your only option for rice is to order the CJ microwavable rice separately? I strongly urge you (Kokomo) to specifically outline for your primary entrees (short of fried rice menu items), that there is no rice that is supplied. Please make this clear, so that your customers are not disappointed, no less your Korean customers, that with their spicy pork kimchi stew, does not come with rice. That your customers who order bulgogi, won't get any rice unless we order it separately, and microwave it once we receive it. My mind is still blown. I'm so disappointed in this decision you made. Almost, arguably, deceptive.

Overall, not good, would not recommend. Our waiter was friendly but they must be understaffed, there was almost no one in the restaurant but our food took half an hour to come. Our appetizer (seafood pancake) was inedible - really thick, with a terrible fishy flavor, they did take it back and did not charge us as we barely ate a bite. Our main dishes were edible but not good. Without the sauce on my monster tonkatsu it was totally flavorless. We'd eaten at other Korean restaurants that were far better.

The portions are definitely HUGE, which is why most people come here. The taste, however, isn't always guaranteed. Their black bean noodles and spam fried rice are always good, but I've been disappointed by the dumpling soup and some other dishes. Definitely has more of a fusion taste to it rather than an authentic Korean taste. Would probably be best for Korean food first-timers!
