Amazing atmosphere, amazing food, and amazing staff! Very friendly, and the amount of plants makes it seem like a indoor garden. Overall, the food was very tasteful and the vibe was immaculate.

Very rude worker behind the counter (black short afro, afternoon shift on friday) but the food is tasteful - shame to see a good restaurant spoiled by arrogant employees.

They forgot to add the topping (tobbico/fish eggs) but still charged me for it. The containers used for to go orders are a bit leaky given all sauces.
I have celiac disease and love that everything is gluten free (minus one item). The ingredients are so fresh and I love the flavors of each bowl combination!

Like Picnic, this place has great ingredients. Eating vegan, I tend to find out what restaurants have food that stands on its own. Pono Ono is really solid. The fixings are all fresh and the sauces are exceptional. I really loved the gochujang.Vegetarian options: Vegan

This place came through in a moment of need. Build-your-own is a good deal; you can choose as many toppings as you want for no extra charge and they were everything I dreamed of. It's also very cute and tranquil inside, filled with hanging plants. Staff were lovely. My only disappointment was the rice was pretty dry, especially for a sushi rice. Could have been a one off, though. Overall, super happy for the price and would love to return if I get the chance before I head out of Chicago!

We got one of the hot bowls with fried chicken and there was literally fried soap in it. Absolutely disgusting.

[Pono Ono Poke] Poke spot in Evanston The food was good. It's self service kind of. I couldn't even tell you what half of these were besides the first one which is The Works and Vegetarian one. Food was super quick. Seafood was super fresh and there was other things I wanted to try like their shrimp bowl. Short review, enjoy. 7/10ponoonopoke.com1630 Chicago Ave Evanston, IL60201
