Wee Korean restaurant in a little neighborhood business area. Half a block from the Noyes purple line stop.Pretty small place (15 or so tables), so the place was nearly packed by 6:30. REALLY amazing broths and well balanced spices. Gungjung tteokboki is my new favorite thing. Definitely going out of my way for a return trip.

Delicious Korean food! We were in Evanston and this was the perfect dinner on a chilly evening. We ordered the rabokki, the sundubu with beef, and the 10 mini fried veggie mandu. The rabokki was so spicy and rich, while the sundubu was piping hot and packed with soon tofu. The banchan was good

Amazing food. I didn’t realize there was a Korean restaurant that was so close to my office at Northwestern. I used to live in K town and I love Korean food. I can say their food is definitely authentic and tasty.

Soban Korea in Evanston offers a nice experience with some tasty dishes. Their bibimbap and kimchi are good, with authentic flavors. The portion sizes are satisfactory, providing decent value. The atmosphere is casual and welcoming, and the service is friendly and attentive. A solid choice for Korean cuisine in Evanston

I love Korean food and this place doesn't disappoint. I'm just so glad that it's near our house. Thank you!

I usually don't find myself in this part of Evanston, but I will happily be returning after this. For such an unassuming spot, I was surprised to see a crowd for a weekday lunch, but I try and take it as a good sign. For the price you pay, you get great portion sizes (and banchan.)The ramen tteokbokki (Rabokki) was some of the best I've had, and I can already tell this is going to be my favorite spot in the winter!

Soban is always consistent. We love Korean food and have been to Korean restaurants in a 15 mile radius. While other restaurants will offer more banchan and selection, this is our go-to Korean restaurant because the service is good, the restaurant is tidy and the menu and food is consistent. It's a good place to take novice Korean food eaters. We are not novices and we like it a lot.

Love That Spice

From the moment we walked in we were greeted with warm smiles and an inviting atmosphere. The bulgogi was excellent, nicely spiced and flavorful. The fried rice complimented the bulgogi wonderfully. The ramen noodles extra spicy were so good as I watched my 8 year old daughter devour almost the entire bowl! If you’re looking for a solid and tasty family owned restaurant this is it! Oh be sure to try the Jacob’s tear tea…perfect ending to a delicious lunch✨
