Been enjoying Hecky’s for 35+ years (old Highwood location was my first time), this meal was right up there with my memories best.“
“The food was good! Ordered 15 minutes before close and surprisingly they delivered my order. The catfish was perfectly fried. The cornbread was a little hard but overall this was a great meal especially at the time I ordered. I've been wanting to try her place, I'll be back!“

“This afternoon I wanted to try some Vegan food. I've tasted Vegan food before, but that was before my Vegan/Vegetarian journey. Today I got the Jerk Jack Taco dinner for me and my husband and the Vegan mac and cheese and it was so good. I just wish they delivered to Maywood. This is an amazing location, especially when it's warm and you can sit outside, to get some incredible food (this is some of the best barbeque you've ever had - no exaggeration, and I'm notoriously critical about food things) and enjoy feeling like you're in nature without having to leave the city.Give Soul and Smoke some love and all the dollars. But make sure Rockwell on the River doesn't get too crowded now that I've shared my secret. Deal?* Also I totally crave their BBQ enough that I'll trek over here just for takeout too.Parking: You can usually park really close by on the street. At most I've parked about half a block away.“
“I don't know how they ended up there but there's always a bunch of soul vegan options at my local bodega. All of them are good, but I'd sell my left foot for a lifetime supply of the Chik'n salad wrap. All offerings are good, but that wrap is amazing.“

I didn't have enough room to eat more. Even the cocktails were very tasty. Definitely a great recommendation for folks to visit.
