These young ladies are keeping everyone unduly waiting telling themselves stories... WHERE IS MANAGEMENT??? Finally when you signal unhappiness they start making coffees. What seemed like a floor leader with an iPad seems more concern with friendship than management. The Barista did good coffee but stops to talk to peers. This is disrespectful to our time and needs as customers.

This Starbucks is next to Northwestern University and sits in the heart of downtown Evanston. It is a fairly large Starbucks with a large crew serving customers. I was there during a major rush and the staff performed professionally and quickly. The food is your standard Starbucks quality. Even in a rush I had no trouble finding a table.

Drinks are always solid, and Reuben (Rueben?) is an absolute delight, even when it's ten minutes to close and you really want a latte! :)

I ordered two grande strawberry açaí refreshers… not whatever watered down delayed mess these are. And I watched them take my ticket, put it to the side, grab another ticket, make another drink, make ONE OF MY DRINKS, make another drink and then make my other drink. All while I watched him pour water instead of the actual mixture to bring the volume to what it was supposed to be. And it didn’t help that 3-7 mins turned into an absolutely ridiculous 15 min wait for a drink that was not even close to being worth it. Probably one of my worst Starbucks experiences ever!! I’m so upset that I decided to go here in the first place.

While the quality of the products continues to the reason I keep coming back, the optics of mobile orders taking precedence over customers who pay at the register is giving me pause. Is this the way that Starbucks wants to head? One of the positive attributes of this chain has always been the friendliness of its baristas. It appears that this strength is being undermined.
