Visited here with family from another state, was pleasantly surprised. Fries are excellent. Drinks tasted a little soapy or sanitizer not fully washed off, maybe local water, but drinks tasted weird. Tried more than one to verify this. Other than that, good experience

There is parking for a couple big trucks around back. You will be better off parking across the street at Hucks. Anyway I was very displeased with my liar old geezer waitress. Came here for breakfast and ordered a side of the cup of fruit. Out came this teeny bowl of practically nothing. Tiny cut up few pieces of I guess peaches. I looked up at her, "$5.50 for this?" "OH well we don't have much of anything at this time. Not really the season. I'll charge ya only 3.99." OH come on thats still way too much for this nothingness. And yet on the specials board was blueberry or strawberry topped waffles. So obviously you do have fruit! And as far as whatever other fruit was supposed to be in the "bowl" maybe you need a different supplier who knows how to get it. I know if I go to Walmart I'll see all sorts of fruit. So even though the rest of the food was good I think I'll just stick with Jack's Restaurant across the street from Loves truckstop down the I74 exit 149. They've never lied to me before. And their food is really good as well.

the service was absolutely HORRIBLE. my husband and I walked in and the sign said seat yourself. so we did. After a few minutes we heard one of the waitresses say " guess they won't get served if they sit over there" we got up and asked what she said. we said we heard you and told her she was very rude. she said that's fine. needless to say we left. it was our first time in there- NEVER will go back. Very disappointing to have been treated that way. if we weren't allowed to sit there with other customers that was not the way to handle it... at all!!

This restaurant is a great family restaurant. The service is very friendly and it has a great small town diner feel. The food is delicious. I love that they still have a salad bar. The only reason I didn't give all five stars is because the salad bar could have been a bit fresher. Otherwise, all of the food was wonderful!

I try to stop whenever I'm commuting from Iowa to Indiana for work. So do a lot of my coworkers. The Farmer Cafe is very well known at Hardi North America as a "must stop" for excellent atmosphere, great service, good prices, lots of great food, and all those "sinful" desserts in that pie case. For as long as they're open when we pass through, and for as long as we're traveling, we as a company will spend our money there.
