Friends of ours told us about this place but we've never been because we're not in Farmington very often. It was well worth the 40 minute drive and we'd recommend it too. A real local family restaurant with the feel of a Wisconsin supper club. We didn't have any brandy old fashioned's but our cocktails were served in mason jars. We had the combo appetizer which includes your choice of three of the various options (mostly fried). We had the mozz logs (mozzarella sticks), bullets (jalapeño poppers) and clams. The clams were by far the star of these options. The house salads were basic but served on chilled plates with homemade dressings that you don't see much of anymore and they were perfect. We ordered chicken alfredo, raviolis with meat sauce and the walleye. Chicken alfredo was not your cookie cutter dish found anywhere, it was generous on chicken and plenty of flavor other than the sauce. The walleye was two nice size pieces that were thicker and more like mass produced cod filets. I'm more of a fan of the thinner filets that curl up when they're fried but the flavor and batter were perfect. The star of the entrees was the ravioli with meat sauce. I'm sure this is how Nonne Scapecchi built her following when they opened over 25 years ago (We think she's the one who greeted us and showed us to our table). Be sure to save room for one of their homemade desserts too. We shared their butterfinger cake and it was delicious. Our server, Tina, was very friendly and accurate with her advice about our menu questions. Bring your cash or use their ATM in the bar for $3 despite what Yelp says on this listing they're cash only. No need for reservations unless you're a party of six or more. We'd recommend this place too if you're looking for something off the beaten path and local with homemade items throughout the menu. We'll definitely be back!

The filet was good, ordered it rare. Would definitely come back. I miss the fried ravioli that I had years ago.

Awesome catfish & shrimp which is all I've ordered. This is a place to be casual, have a few beers and a good meal. It's not a trendy yuppie place which I think many of these reviewers were expecting. We've had no problems here, except they only take cash & checks. There is an ATM machine inside.

First time visitor last night after my friend raved about their Thursday steak special. I came away pleased. This is a very unique place with the perfect rustic feel you'd want for a place just outside a small Midwestern town. The food was prepared well and our service was excellent. Be aware that they don't accept credit cards.

This is the Best place to go for a good steak! Although my friend had the chicken and said it was spicy & tasty. They also have pasta. I moved here from Chicago and couldn't find a good steak joint till I walked through their doors. Love the back woods cabin decor, and the waitresses can't be beat. It's worth the drive.

My mom and I came to Scapecchi's for dinner, having never gone before. The atmosphere is homey, clean, and warm. The food selection was great! I had fried catfish filet and my mom had halibut. We were both stuffed when we were done! Service was great, highly recommend!
