“Finally tried Tailwinds in Findlay, IL. Just a short drive into town from Lake Shelbyville. Been open since 1987. One of the newer owners was there as the chef last night. Tim was more than happy to show off his cool space. It’s spotless. Used to be a bank ? The old vault is now the refrigerated beer cooler. Gabby was our bartender & server. Her mother & she own 12-Layers bakery across the street. Try the homemade pie, trust me! Vintage wooden props & photos of planes adorn the space as decoration. Friendly locals strike up conversation with other tables between cocktails & glasses of wine. What a perfect date night spot for those looking to mingle with new friends. Thanks for having us!
