Lovely place for a big breakfast. I had the Hot Tots (yummy tater tots) with eggs, jalapeño and cheese. The place is a little out of the way but I love that about it. It features parking, quiet space and good food. Will be returning and it's a favorite among so many others.

My fiance and I have been passing this place on our way to work for the last 2 years and this morning we finally had time to stop in. I had the vegan breakfast sandwich, and it was delicious!!!! I was surprised that it came with a side of potatoes and orange slices, as I'd assumed that would be an extra cost! Perfect portion sizes. The coffee is fresh ground made to order, and it tastes like it was made with a little extra love. I had a salted caramel latte with oatmilk, and he had a vanilla latte. We both loved it! The atmosphere is so cute. There's an upstairs lounge area with couches and a backyard with a stage for concerts! There is also a super cute patio set up in a heated tent. Our server was so sweet, I wish I had caught her name! We definitely plan to come back soon to try more food!!

My friend and I went to brunch at the Lathrop House Cafe. The food, service and atmosphere were great! They did post a sign with changes to their hours, due to staffing shortages. When we arrived there was a slight wait but we ordered coffee and took it upstairs to wait for our table. My friend ordered a frozen blended coffee, and I got an Americano. There were a lot of amazing menu items to choose from but we ended up both going with the tots that came with eggs, cheese, sausage gravy and jalapenos! We both were incredibly happy with our brunch - The flavors of everything on top of the tots really went together well, we even shared a side of breakfast sausage and biscuits and gravy which we split and added to the last half of our meal to take home and have really amazing leftovers! We had a lot of food and we each only paid about $25 for going out to brunch which I think is an amazing price!

The service was great, and the outdoor space was nice. However, I was disappointed with the food. Felt bland and not appetizing. Didn't like my first dish, so I ordered something else, and I didn't enjoy thay either. We ended up leaving, and I've only ever done that once before. I am a huge breakfast place person but I don't think I will be returning here.

I used GrubHub to order 2 meals. The order arrived quicker then expected but unfortunately 1 of the meals was wrong. I contacted the business and the employee I spoke w/ was incredibly nice and understanding, she immediately offered to refund the cost of the meal that was made wrong. Within a few minutes I received confirmation she had did just that! Accidents happen but businesses arent always so kind and willing to correct their mistakes. I will be ordering again from Lathrop because of their commitment to customer service...oh and the food was great as well!!!

Charging extra up to 6.00 dollars if you have a second cup of coffee is just a bad business practice. Gosh such a lovely place and I'm sure this has driven away costumers. Typically a person has 2- 2 1/2 cups? I hope the best for the owners and workers here. They are very sweet. However, have chosen another restaurant based on this

The food here is seriously so great and the servers are always so friendly. During the spring/summer months they have an outdoor eating area that is incredibly gorgeous to eat in. The peach mimosas are *chef's kiss* SO good. Great place to eat and enjoy company.

First and foremost, I have NEVER been in a restaurant that charges for refills of coffee! When I mentioned that to the server she said that Starbucks does! Starbucks is a coffee shop, not a restaurant. Anyway, the food varied significantly. I had a crepe omelets (it is really just a folded omelet...no crepe involved) that was really good. The breakfast potatoes were very salty. We also had a waffle that was average. The third item was a skillet that was also very salty. I was expecting a different ambiance because the web page made it look like the rooms of a house (the restaurant was a residence at one point) but we ate in an open room that was rather chilly. I bet the outdoor area is nice during warmer weather. Prices are a little higher than average. I might try it again during the summer.

I thought Lathrop House Cafe was great! There was a bit of a wait Sunday morning, but we expected that. We were still able to be seated in about 20 minutes.I ordered the Bloody Mary as a drink. I was able to get it spicy, which was great. It was a really well-made Bloody Mary - something that's hard to come by!For my meal, I ordered the Florentine Benedict. I love anything with artichokes, so that was a great add to the spinach. The hash browns on the side were excellent too.We ordered the Mickey Mouse Pancakes to share. I definitely could not have had this on my own, but I loved the fun sprinkles and whipped cream in addition to the chocolate chips.

This place gets 3 stars for the atmosphere and coffee , for me personally the food was kinda bland and lacked in flavor. My chicken & waffle was supposed to be spicy with bacon inside of the waffle. Well my waffle had 0 bacon inside and the chicken was not spicy at all, the only saving grace of my meal was the sausage patty they added to it which was a nice touch and the fact it was very filling. My friend had the corned beef benedict that was pretty good imo. This place has potential they just need to work on making sure the food is prepped per what is described in the menu.

I've tried this Lathrop a few times because I really like the sister restaurant, but this place just isn't the same. I got a breakfast sandwich - the bagel was not toasted and soggy, and the eggs were actually cold. Got a coffee to go, and there were multiple dead ants in the coffee, which I didn't realize until I had already swallowed one.

Eggs came out cold, overcooked and unseasoned. The fruit looked like it was the leftovers from the beginning of the week. Also lots of fruit flies on and around the food. The saving grace was the blueberry muffin. I would not come back nor recommend anyone come here. It's too bad because it's a cute neighborhood house and has so much potential.

I was initially excited at first, but was quickly displeased. The iced latte had a bitter aftertaste. The chicken and waffles was a joke. I received a big lump of fried flour with the smallest and driest chicken piece. The waffle? Soggy, undercooked and also surprisingly bitter. Not worth it for the price you pay.

Very slow service and below average food on a Friday morning. Nice outdoor space for live music.
