Place felt dirty and unfinished. The ice cream was moderately good and the desserts looked stale and tasted bland. The service was good and the person behind the counter was helpful. Seems like they aren't ones for handing out a sample taste. They had an ice cream called "cold, old cardboard" and it was spot on. Oh wait, that was my cookies and cream. Boom roasted. My nephew got the sweet potato cookie. That also tasted like old cardboard. Seems to me a rebranding opportunity is coming. Great people. Nice service. Ehhh iced creams.

Understaffed and understocked. I went with my child and we ordered one kiddie scoop and one kiddie sundae, the latter of which came with whipped cream and a cherry. Upon ordering I was told they were out of whipped cream and also cherries. The worker (the only person there taking orders and also preparing all the orders) asked if I would like a different topping instead? I asked for pecans, to which I was told they were also out of pecans. Okay, no problem. When our ice creams were ready I only received one ice cream, which combined the kiddie scoop flavor with the sundae topping. Given the long line behind me I didn't bother to ask for a correction. Disappointing experience.

Takes forever. It's March and 30 degrees, still took over 20 minutes to get one overpriced scoop of ice cream

They were out of alot of flavors and we said to go for a banana split and they did not follow but then decided to put the banana split in a small cup when we asked for the manager she apologized and put it in the right container.Parking: No parking

I only write a review when I have overwhelmingly good things to say and want to make sure credit is paid where it is due. We just hosted my sons 4th birthday at the Brown Cow and it was awesome. Cassidy and Caleb were incredible party captains. We joked that we will be hiring Cassidy to MC every party we host from now on. The kids had a great time. The parents all got to chat because the kids were entertained. The ice cream was great and we were able to accommodate everyone's allergies and food preferences. And I barely had to plan a thing. Win-win-win-win. We may even host our other sons bday party there again this summer. Just a great experience overall. We will be back!

My husband and I decided to plan a little trip over to Forest Park to get some yummy ice cream and enjoy the library and some lunch with our baby. After lunch we stopped in here. I thought it was expensive but I understand that good quality ingredients come at a cost and was so excited to try the ice cream. We waited over 15 minutes without ever being acknowledged. I get that during these times, places are busy, short staffed, and under pressure but all we wanted was to be acknowledged. There were only 3 other customers at the ice cream shop. After waiting so long, we just had to leave because our baby was getting fussy and still no one said a word to us. I'm sure the ice cream is top notch but to travel here for this experience was a bummer.

Rude staff on Saturday, 2/10/24. Entered at 10 pm and told that 'we'll be cleaning around you since we close at 10pm on Sundays.'Staff then proceeded to turn off the window lights and flipped the sign over from 'open' to 'close.' I told them that today is Saturday and per the posted business hours, the store closes at 11pm. The rude staff member walks away. $15 for two mediocre scoops of ice cream served with a big scoop of snark. Why do businesses feel entitled to treat customers so poorly?

The prices at this place have gotten out of control! We’ve been going there for years and haven’t been there for at least a year and decided to go out somewhere special for the kids. I understand that everybody’s experiencing inflation, but $10 for an ice cream cone was a little outrageous. Wanted to take my family of four out for a good time which we did have, but at the cost of $40 for ice cream? If you’re going to charge $10 for an ice cream cone, at least make the scoop big. I ordered a waffle cone and the scoop of ice cream barely even filled the cone. Not only that, the chocolate chip cookie dough ice cream had barely any chocolate chips or cookie dough in it. It was more ice cream than anything. That will probably be the last time we visit the brown cow. I understand she says it’s premium ice cream, but at a premium cost to lose your customers?

Very good icecream. Very vintage ice cream parlor atmosphere and nice decorations.I would say the most delicious ice cream there is the french toast ice cream. It is very cinnamon forward and even has teddy graham cereal in it.I would reccomend a double scoop on a peanut dipped chocolate cone with french toast and coffee.

The woman (owner?) was SO passionate and sweet, talked with all the customers and had a big smile on her face. She explained how all the ice cream was made and seemed so proud and happy about her business. And the ice cream was SO CREAMY AND DELICIOUS I would eat every meal of every day here if I could. Flavors were fun, with classics and unique ones, and all were delicious. BANANA CREAM PIE WAS PHENOMENAL. Left feeling nothing but bliss.

This place is a gem in the community. I love the ice cream that they make and serve, and the people who serve the ice cream are very friendly. Have been a customer of this place for many years, and see that being the case for many to comeDietary restrictions: Surprisingly they do offer non dairy vegan friendly options. Don't know too many creameries that can say the same.I can barely tell the difference between the coconut cream ice cream and the "normal" ice cream.Kid-friendliness: Very friendly place for kids, they sometimes have family activities.
