I usually go to the Harold's in Matteson, which is good. However, I was surprised when I saw this location was a bit closer to my home. I was pretty nervous about trying it because the reviews were not the best. Let me tell you.... I'm glad I did. The chicken was a little more expensive, but worth it! Their seasoning was on point! I ordered 6 wings with mild sauce and lemon pepper. I had plenty of mild sauce, food was ready when promised, slaw was included without asking and there was no fee to use a cc like indicated in another comment. I kid you not, food was delicious I will definitely be back!

I hate to do this but come on man! After reading all the reviews I just didn't believe it could be that bad. Despite the reviews my wife and I decided to get some fried catfish fillet meals to go last week. First off, they gave us about 2 oz of mild sauce for each meal. Took about 25 minutes to get the order. Second, the fish was so gelatin like I told my wife to throw in the oven for 10 more minutes cause we thought it wasn't fully cooked. After tasting it, she decided to leave 10 more minutes. Once we realized it wasn't due to it being undercooked, we tried eating it anyway but had to throw it away. Ate the bread and fries only. I don't know what they used but were pretty confident it wasn't catfish. It's a shame but will not eat there again.

21 minute wait and $11.80 for 2 small pieces of chicken. Food was decent, but you can get better chicken faster and cheaper at Popeye's.

I was excited to get some from this classic south side staple. It's the closest one to me and I was disappointed. I request mild sauce on the chicken and fries(pretty standard) and they put just drizzle on all of it. If I wanted plain chicken I would've went to kfc.

Wanted to like this local and support it but canno. I have been about 6 times hoping for consistency but did not. It got worse. On two occasions my food was not prepared per request and was soggy. On amother the order taker was so rude. The last straw was a week ago when my husband saw the gloved cook place food in the fryer then used the same gloves to clean up with the mop before returning to place more food in the fryer without hand washing or clean gloves. Yuck! This was reported immediately to the order taker. I called back and requested a return call from the owner but never received one. I won't be back

I can't believe how rude I was treated. We placed an order online confirmed and billed to our credit card. I went to the store 15 minutes before closing, and they already had the door locked and the open sign off. When I knocked on the door I was told to go away. I explain to them I had an order to pick up. They told me oh yeah we know about your order, we don't have any food left. They also instructed me I needed to cancel the order. when I asked them to cancel the order, so that I was not charged a cancellation fee, They told me they had no idea how to handle an online order and that they would have to call the "boss lady". As I asked for more information the cook rudely interrupted our conversation slammed and lock the door. Do not patronize this organization who treats their customers like this and have no idea how to run their business in this environment Or deal with online sales. On train staff rude behavior and dishonest customer service.. When trying to keep organizations afloat and giving them our hard earned money no one should be treated in this manner. Do not patronize this location they do not deserve to stay in business

I was expecting way more from this south side staple. The chicken strips were over cooked. The perch was super fishy (gag worthy). The service was terrible. Only 1 cook working. I waited in this miserable place for 45 minutes without even a chair to sit on. Nope, won't be going back.

Ordered gizzards, livers and chicken tenders. The livers were completely overcooked to almost black. The chicken tenders were overcooked and partially dry as well. I’m a little afraid of ordering again and being disappointed.
