I know it's tough to get employees right now, so I don't want to leave a bad review, however, I visibly saw 4 employees and still waited in line for 25 minutes and there was only one other car in line ahead of me.I figured the food would be fresh waiting so long, however, that was not the case, no one could even eat the fries because they were so hard and old tasting.

There was 2 cars in the drive Thur including mine. The wait for our food was 20 min. Live 5 min from the restaurant. Got home and the bacon cheese burger was sliding apart and had to be put back together to eat. The burger did not have a hint of warmth. It was cold, the bun was hard, and the condiments were minimal. The other two sandwiches were also cold and the cheese was not melted. The fries were the only thing that seemed remotely fresh. And they were almost cold. I paid $24 for food that was terrible. I would suggest a review of your personal and management at this location.

Ordered 2 single cheeseburgers and 2 fries on 10/16/2021, at about 11:15AM, to eat in our car. The order was wrong...twice. No tomatoes. The meat patties had been cooked earlier that morning, and not even warmed up. The manager? said that they had stopped putting tomatoes on sandwiches. Have ordered hamburgers in 18-20 states in my lifetime, and this has to rank with the worst hamburger ever eaten. Don't waste your money ordering anything from this location. I rated it one star....there was no option for a 1/2 star.

I wish there is ZERO out of 5 startsYesterday I used the mobile app to order chicken tenders and after waiting in the line for around 15 minutes they told me they are out of fingersThere is no way to cancel the order in the app and it tells me to check with the restaurant. The staff at Illinois, Frankfort restaurant were very rude and can’t cancel the order as well.They order was pending and it’s “complete” today although I didn’t get my order nor a refund.Order# 5033705465692161

I waited 17 min at drive through.. something wrong here, also had to food back to my post and add about the food, its was horrible did not even finish it, meat was cold

Johnny ice runs the place started with a small crew and moved his way up to a heavy hitter. Even during covid when you can't find good service Johnny's still running a good operation. You wanna grab a burger from somewhere else....forget about it.

I love Steak N Shake! I just wish they were wage competitive so that they could hire servers and we could dine in at them again. The food is always excellent!

The food was great. But the service was sooo slow. It could be due to the shortage of workers there but other than that, I didn't have any problems.

Went here for my break which is 30 minutes. I work 5 minutes away, got there ordered my food. Lady in front of me sat in line for 15 minutes. Now I have 10 minutes before I have to get back. Pull up and ask “is my food ready?” She told me yes so I paid. ANOTHER 10 MINUTES” Demanded my money back which took this women 2 more minutes to do which I don’t understand how hard it is to key unlock a drawer. Worked in the food industry before, this isn’t hard.Hands me my money back and leave. BY FAR worst service I have EVER received from this location. Never will be returning and you know damn well Corporate is being notified for this mishap. I don’t know what happened to this location but it is terribly ran. Workers using gloves and sweeping, and touching food. It’s just an accident waiting to happen. 0/10 STARS

We went into Steak and Shake, myself and friend to dine in about 7:15 pm on 7-28-21. There wasn't a hostess to greet us, the person behind the counter who was well aware of our presence never acknowledged us, but was talking with a friend . The friend left and that person turned her back on us, never greeted us and never said I will be right with you. We then thought we had to seat ourselves and then no one came around. So we went back to the counter and waited about 5 more minutes. At that time there were 2 employees and they proceeded to ignore us. So we announced we were going down the street to Culver's where we were greeted at the door, we had a very pleasant meal and shakes and enjoyed the friendliness of all the employees I don't know what has happened there, but I was very saddened by this, because that was the first time I've been there since my mom's passing back in December 2020. And that was where we frequently went on Saturdays for lunch. If anything the store manager needs to be made aware of this, but it is 1:40 pm on 7-29-21, but obviously they don't care because THEY AREN'T EVEN ANSWERING THE PHONE!! WHAT A VERY RUDE PLACE, there were only very few customers there, it was not busy at all.

I'm not the type of person to complain about restaurants or fast food places but holy hell was this the worst experience I've ever had. I had a free shake from the app and that's the only reason me and my friends went. We walked in the place and it look like it hadn't been cleaned in months I ordered and the cashier didn't ask me what flavor I wanted. Then I sat down touched the table and felt just slime on my hand from the chair. Then we sat there for about half an hour and we thought oh maybe they're just putting our food all together and trying to not give it separate. NOPE the last one of my friends who ordered first got their shake and we just watched her drink her shake for 10 mins (2 of my other friends also only got shakes and it's been 35-40 minutes so far. Like I understand it's covid season but like come on 20 minutes to make 1 shake with 3 people working back there??! There was us and one other family that was already eating too. I really really wanted to ask for a refund but again I'm not that type of person so I just let it be

No seating table and booths were dirty. my food took 1 hour. The employees were rude and weren't listening to us correctly and dropped my onion rings and still gave them to me.
