We go to Ju Rin every year for my Birthday- they always made you feel special, and really went out of their way to make it a wonderful experience, the food is always awesome- over the years recently, they stopped taking your picture to commemorate your experience. Then they stopped giving out a fresh rose cutting, now apparently they even cut out the beautiful Birthday dessert! I would always recommend this place for special occasions, because they went above and beyond, and tonight we felt rushed as well. I'm really disappointed.

Horrible service we had reservation at 530 and they dident have a table, and let a reservation for 6 go befor us, the hostes was very rude, manager was no help, they gave treatment to others after we came in. Do not eat

We always go to the JuRin in South Elgin, but ordered take out one day from here because it was closer. It was $60 for two takeout meals and the portions were laughable. I got the chicken hibachi and got less than 1/3 of a chicken breast. Probably about 8-10 pieces in total. The rice was about half of what I get in South Elgin. The yum yum sauce also seemed like it was EXTREMELY watered down. I will never be ordering from this location again, what a rip off.

Had the sushi and sashimi lunch and just wasn't impressed. Quality was akin to grocery market sushi, not what I expect from a restaurant. Did not like the tuna at all, I normally love tuna. Gyoza was $8 for five tiny pieces and was a bit too charred. Not horrible, just expected better.

It was fun to sit at the hibachi table watching our comical cook. Confused as to why our cook kept a cup and a half of rice and several shrimp instead of serving it to our party of 10 people. Food was excellent! Waiters were excellent!

The food was good, the service was prompt, and the atmosphere was fun. I had the shrimp & vegetable tempura and my daughter had sushi in various forms. I'm not a sushi eater, but I tried some of her crab roll and it was surprisingly (to me) good. I'll be back next time I'm in town.

80 th birthday party, 13 people had reservations arrived early. Busy. Sat us at two tables, served one table first because they sat 4other people at our table and didn't want them to have to wait to eat. My table crowed in 9 of us 6 arrived before reservations time 6:00 got served our soup salad and took our drink and dinner order, wouldn't wait for last 3 to arrive at 6:13.rush rush rush. Throw everything on table at once, no time to sip our dinner drink no way to connect other 4 guest at other table. They where done eating when we where about half way done. Told them they had to leave so they could set table for waiting people. Now these 4 men where the drivers for the other table wifes and family, ( 1 being from Florida, 1 from Naperville and one from Chicago. Only one drinks so they had to set in a car until we're finished. Also sort of threw my free piece of cheese cake in front of me and said here. Extremely fast sat the $500.00 bill on table. Me soup not hot, shrimp small and had to eat fast and get out of there. The worst birthday party place we ever had. No atmosphere, no management, no communication, no organization, food only fair. Granted busy but we had reservations for 2 tables and 13 to 14 guest. Never there again. South Elgin is good.
