This place is truly a hidden gem. We were recommended to check this spot out by a local bartender, and we are so glad we did! The ambiance was really chill and non pretentious. Our mixologist, David, was super personable and well versed in his craft. He’s bringing experience from cocktail programs in the city to the burbs! It was a cute little spot that gave speakeasy vibes. We initially thought we were underdressed, but this place wasn’t booshie at all, and there was no judgement like some places. The cocktails were creative and well balanced. I’m so glad we have a place like this nearby. We will definitely be back soon!Update:We just went back because of our previous experience. I brought a group of 10 (all industry people). We spent over 1k as a group for my friend’s 40th bday. I raved about this place only to feel unwelcome in the end. A young female bartender tells us we were too loud. Honestly, we obviously had a lot to drink, but nobody was being reckless. We were told people were complaining. From a business standpoint you made us feel unwelcome in an establishment where we spent money. Take the $60 2 top who complained over what we spent there tonight? At least pull one of us aside instead of making a grand announcement. Chad you’re a great and talented owner, but train your staff how to talk to people. Just tell us, dont make a scene.

This was the best cocktail bar in the Chicago burbs I’ve ever been to. I can’t wait to go back.

We are slowly becoming monthly attendees of Common Good. We love their drinks, the atmosphere and I always enjoy the bartenders there. We have rarely had a a drink we don’t like. They will also make you a new drink if you don’t like your drink. Over the years the menu has changed. Sometimes the menu is huge. Sometimes it’s smaller. There are always greatest hits and classics. They can also make most typical drinks even if not on the menu.My husbands favorite drink is the Sipping Scholar and mine is Chaperones day off. Both are currently on the greatest hits menu.Only small bits are available here. It’s really just for the cocktails! Just come after dinner.Drinks range from 10- 25 dollars. They are clearly marked.

The hubby wanted to check out this speakeasy and we were certainly in for good treats! The cocktails were delicious! They have a twist in how they do some cocktails. We decided to try most of their sweet and slow sip cocktails. The alcohol is loaded so please drink responsibly. Overall, we loved it. The bartenders were super nice and recommended great drinks. It's a small bar so please keep in mind seating may be limited to larger groups. We highly recommend this place! Parking is free along the street.

What a fun local cocktail bar in downtown Glen Ellyn! Reasonably priced drinks from an extensive menu is the perfect spot for a girls night or a pre/post dinner drink! They also have pretzels, chips and dip, and popcorn as snacks to accompany the drinks which was a nice touch. Highly recommend stopping by!

Nice atmosphere, in a cute little building on the border of down town Glen Ellyn.Don’t order the Chai Tai, because after they light the rum floating inside an inverted charred lime-half precariously (negligently?) balanced on the rim of the glass…………………………..they will pour said flaming rum on your hand, followed by a trio of slack-jawed stares while you put out your burning hand. No, he didn't comp the drink.Yes, he gave me a piece of ice to help with the burn on my hand after he poured flaming booze on it, which I suppose I appreciate. My wife still made me tip 20%. These bozos are going to need it.

Date night is sacred and we chose well with Common Good. It was a 20-minute drive on a weeknight and definitely worth it. Cocktails are creative, delicious and strong! Each ingredient was well-thought out, fresh, and chosen with care. I believe they change the menu seasonally but my favorite drink tonight was Linus’ Revenge. It was so good my partner tasted mine and ordered one for himself. The music was fun and contributed to an awesome vibe. The service was spectacular! Chad was the bartender/owner. He was friendly, professional and patiently gave great recommendations. 10/10 and we will return! As a side note, I had a burrito and water refills were expedient!

I’ve been a regular here since 2020 and it never disappoints! I’ve been to the best city craft cocktail bars and still you won’t find a special place like this that combines from-scratch made craft cocktails with warm and friendly non pretentious service. The staff is always sweet and knowledgeable and makes great suggestions and the menu is always truly unique. In the summer you have the cute little patio garden, and in the colder months it’s always warm and cozy inside. Don’t forget to tip well because those guys work hard and make every single thing you drink there from scratch!

We were in from out of town to attend high school reunion event in Wheaton, the town next to Glen Ellyn. We had plans to meet some good friends before the event, and they suggest this place. It is a small bar right across from the Glen Ellyn train station. We got there a little before they opened and a small line had already formed. We got inside and the place was almost filled in about 15 minutes. The owner, Chad, came over and gave us their extensive menu of drink. Rather than just hand the menus to us, he explained their philosophy on Cocktails as well as walked us through the menu. He spent at least 5 minutes with us with a packed bar. He then went and got us some water then let us look over the menu. My wife asked Chad for a Vodka Martini and he said they do not serve any Vodka drinks. I asked why and he said Vodka is just alcohol and really does not have any flavor or character like that of a Gin Martini. She is not much of a Gin drinker but why not try. So we all ordered our drink choices and to my surprise my wife really liked the Gin Martini. I also tasted it and it was the best Martini I have ever tasted. All the people in our party like their choices as well. In all times I have sat at a Bar, the customer service was second to none. Actually even better than at any restaurant, when you ask them for recommendations. None of the drinks we ordered were like anything your would get at a typical bar. They were truly "Crafted" by the owner and his partner, not just a recipe from bar bartender's mixology book. So if you want a very unique experience drinking Cocktails this is the place to go.They also do have some small but appropriate food menu of simple bar food to go with your drinks, but that is no why you go there.!!!DRINK UP!!!

We decided to stop by Common Good to grab a drink before date night. We sat in the parking on the side of the building. Service was prompt and I had asked for a recommendation on my drink after telling her what I liked, I got the chaperons day off and my husband got an Allertons Ailment. I enjoyed my drink, it was light and refreshing. Would be nice if they offered more snack options.
