Terrible service, stood there for 5 minutes waiting for someone to assist me with my bagels and I had to ask is someone going to assist me and the kid said you have to order over here. I said thank you for telling me. Asked for my bagel to be toasted and they said they do not toast bagels. Went to go pay and the cashier didn’t say a word. Didn’t tell me the price and just said stick it in. Another customer came up asking for pepper and the cashier said it’s over there! It says pepper! And grabs his head and ran into the back. Very weird terrible service. Pure lazy I wish I could give a 0

I'm sure the food would be great if they could ever get it right. If I could give the service 0 stars, I would. I really enjoy their bagel sandwiches and I frequented the Champaign, IL location in college, and loved the Wheaton location before it got closed. I've given this Glen Ellyn location more chances than I reasonably should have, and they have let me down every. single. time. The last time I was in, my entire order was wrong, including missing a signature sauce that comes standard on the bagel we ordered, and the staff indicated they "mixed us up with another customer". I asked for a manager and was told they were "downstairs" or "on break" for the whole 40+ minutes I was there. The staff is friendly, but the service is the worst I've ever seen in my life, and we won't be coming here again.*Updating to add, after waiting over 30 minutes for two sandwiches, my order was still incorrect. Unless you have the patience of a saint and nowhere to be for a while, I'd recommend you find somewhere else in Glen Ellyn's lovely downtown to get a bite.

If you like eggshells in your sandwich and burnt bagels, then this is the place for you! The quality has been steadily going downhill, so sent an email to let them know, but obviously no response. Not even sure why they even have a whole section on their website for compliments and complaints. Do yourself a favor and go elsewhere, anywhere but here. Unless you like eggshells, burnt bagels, and complete lack of concern from corporate of course!

I used their mobile app to place an order for a pickup 3 weeks ago. Once I arrived I was told that none of the items were available that I ordered and they could not fulfill the order. They're not able to mark the items as "Not Available" on their app because it's too hard for them. Oh wait.. the stupidity continues because they're full of it and it never ends. Because I ordered from the mobile app they cannot refund me from the cashier, and they've stopped giving phone support the only way to get refunded is to submit a form from their website. I submitted the form the day I ordered and was told by the website I'd be contacted within 3-5 business days. It has been 3 weeks and no one has bothered to contact me. I don't know what else to do to get a refund from these scammers. I've wasted an hour driving to this place and back, and the management couldn't even show any remorse in the shop. Save time, and go somewhere else, it's not worth it. Honestly, it's not even worth a star, but I had to put that to submit the review.

My tea was fine. Bagel was great!Customer service was dismal. Very long line of customers waiting when I arrived.I saw a sign stating that the dining area was closed off. I pulled to the side of the shop to eat my bagel, away from the closed dining area, as it was very cold outside. The employee who took my order told me that the dining area was closed and that I had to leave. I asked why the dining area was closed, pure curiosity, and I was told to leave again with no explanation.I poked my head in the dining area only to see employees eating food, listening to music, sprawled out in the closed seating area.Overall horrible experience. Will not return.

On 10-10-23 they charged us 4x for ONE order we placed on 10-7. Advised them of their error in person and online. They did NOTHING except help themselves to money that does not belong to them. I am very sick and disabled and have a real problem with multi million dollar companies stealing from those who don't have much. Do not go here! They are not trustworthy and if THEY screw up, their customer service is non-existent. You have been warned!

My wife placed an online order and their website said payment did not go through, but that was not accurate, because come to find out they charged us three times the order amount, and then charged me again at the store, or $114 for a $30 breakfast.Einstein Brothers provides the option to order online, presumably with the belief that you can trust them with your info, however that is obviously not the case, since they immediately helped themselves to 3 times the amount due.Young lady behind the counter told me there is "nothing they can do(!!)." I was always taught that taking money that does not belong to you is called stealing, but I guess this rule does not apply to huge corporations.Very disappointed in Einstein Brothers, they probably make $90 bucks every second of the day, but I have to work hard for that kind of money.If you don't mind being robbed then go ahead and eat here but I suggest paying in cash.

i love Einstein Bagels but when we were ordering our food the staff was preparing our all food without gloves. I saw a man rub his nose and then prepare someone’s sandwich. This definitely rubbed me the wrong way. i hope that they wear gloves in the future!
