I was very impressed by Fire and Wine. It has a casual vibe. Obviously a local favorite. Each dish was excellent in taste and presentation. Service was great! Both the hostess and server were happy to share recommendations of their favorite dishes. We had the black pepper shrimp appetizer and the pizza bread for the tasty sauce!! We enjoyed our salads and entrees. We were too full for dessert! As we left, I was impressed at how clean the restaurant was- even after serving such a large crowd. Nice place. Good culture. Recommend!

I scheduled a party of 14 to celebrate my wife's birthday about 3 weeks prior to the event. Management was very helpful and promised me a text the day of the event to confirm. As promised, I received a text to confirm and had to change from 14 guests to 15 via text and there was no issue. Once we arrived, our tables were ready and were seated immediately, and to our surprise, we had an additional guest. Everyone was very helpful and provided another chair very quickly. Our server (Ryan W) was awesome, brought out water and took our appetizer and drink orders quickly and brought them out immediately.Ryan took our food order for 16 guest and we were shocked that it all came out at the same time, All the food was absolutely delicious. All 16 guest loved the drinks, appetizers and food which is absolutely a tall order even for a small group. One final note, I asked for the check and Ryan said they were bringing out a dessert for my wife's birthday. It was a delicious treat but I really appreciated that they didnt charge us for it. Many places will do this and I have always felt that if an establishment brings out a dessert on their own accord, dont charge me for it or at least ask me. This was a great surprise and it truly was a nice touch to an amazing night. This was our first visit and will definitely become part of our summer rotation.Overall, everything was abosoultely perfect, great service , amazing food, just awesome and highly recommend it.

One of the best places in Glen Ellyn. Sometimes a bit loud. But you won't mind when eating those delicious dishes. Highly recommend the chorizo dates.

This is one of our favorite restaurants to go to! Wes the Manager and Heidi and all the servers are top notch and always make us feel welcome and treat us like V.I.P. They have specialty drinks and specialty food plates that rotate so never boring and taste phenomenal!♡♡All the servers are knowledgeable on how food is prepared and know their ingredients off the top of their heads. Amazing!*Definitely try the zucchini fries which are made from scratch there and you will taste the difference and their woodfire short rib pizza is flavorful and best woodfire pizza we have tasted!♡ All their food is made from scratch even their pasta. The ambience is relaxing even though the place is packed! *Don't forget dessert and their cappuccinos-they are the best ever!♡♡ *Highly recommend to everyone and will be forever customers!♡ We have brought lots of friends here too!

Some of the best food I've ever had!!!!! We came on a Saturday night and had a 30 min wait (we were told it would be longer). They don't do reservations. It's totally worth waiting for!!! We tried cocktails to start. We all ordered something different and liked each one. They were all around $15 each. Unique and delicious. I had a house salad and a small plate of shrimp over polenta. Omg both were crazy good!!! I could've licked the plate for both. I will be thinking of these dishes for a while. Would highly recommend!!!

Very disappointed with the front of the house; It was a mess. My wife and I called on Thursday to place a reservation…we were told they don’t do reservations, but they have a “call ahead time” or something like that, so we took the 5:45 time slot.Upon our arrival Saturday (today), our information was nowhere to be found in their system. The hostess told us it would be 20-30 minutes to be seated, we said no problem and we’re told to stand by the bar and they would come get us when a table became available.15 minutes later after our arrival, a second hostess comes up to us asking us what our name was … I believe the first hostess never put our info into the system and since they saw us standing there, they realized they didn’t know who we were … 5 other couples, who arrived after us (3 of them had no “call ahead time” - I stood a few feet from the hostess and was able to hear everything as other guests were put into the system) were seated before us so after 45 minutes of waiting We decided to leave.Side note - there was definitely preferential treatment for certain people or groups of people who clearly knew management. … I get it …. But as a business owner myself, I’d be pissed if my employees treated any of my clients less than equal than any other client. Every single client is as important to a business as the next.

Called 3 days in advance to get a "call ahead" time of 5:45 for a Saturday night dinner. (Which is today). We Showed up and there was no record me calling. Which is weird because I got a time and she took down my number and name. So they asked if we would wait - we did because it was only going to be a 20-30 minute wait. We waited close to an hour and noticed every single couple that walked in after us get tables. Then the hostess asked if she seated us right now, if we can hurry up and eat in 45 minutes because someone else had a call time at 7:00pm .....
