Something has changed recently and not for the better. I was excited about the fancy new web site, but it didn’t translate to the kitchen. My Rama noodles were sticky and bland. The exactly 4 pieces of broccoli and 4 red pepper strips didn’t improve the situation. There was nothing spicy about the spicy Basil eggplant. It was bland as well. The salmon panang curry was just ok, likely the best thing we had.Did the owners change? This has always been the Thai restaurant I send everybody to when they ask where the best Thai is. Not sure if this was a really bad night or if this is the new normal. Darn!Vegetarian options: Plenty of options, kind of bland.

Their menu has SIGNIFICANTLY improved from what was already a 20 year family favorite in the last 6 months. You MUST order and sample their wide variety of noodle, rice and curry dishes that will have you craving for more.

Visited the restaurant late into dinner time, and not only got a table, the meal was wonderful! The decor made me feel like I was actually in Thailand. I will be back. Great job everyone!!

They didn't have any but 1 of the desserts on the menu, and they didn't have the drink/martini that I desired.

Portions were so tiny, me and my wife were still hungry after two chicken entrees with hardly any chicken. Also there were TWO hairs inside the pot sticker container.

Excellent place for Thai food. My fiancé likes the cashew chicken and I had tofu with vegetables in garlic sauce. Very nice waiter dealing with being understaffed We highly recommend them and their pricing and portions are great.

We had a super pleasant experience. I had a shrimp pad Thai that did not have over cooked shrimp. Very rare. Although I am not thoroughly knowledgeable about Thai food, all of the dishes were excellent. The service was great and the price was reasonable.

Beautiful restaurant. Delicious food and very friendly service. The staff take pride in what they cook, and it shows... even the presentation of their carry-out plates!

Great place! Excellent Spicy Basil!Update 12/9/23. Still excellent. I've been coming here for years now, one of the best Thai places in the area. Their Panang is perfect.

So dissatisfied. This place used to be so great years ago but now it's run by a different set of people. Not the people who started it. The food was okay but I was really disappointed this last time. We ordered spring rolls and they were nasty. The entrees were okay.

I used to love coming here, but in the past couple years it has gone down the drain. First, what is that sewer smell that is always wafting through there?? Enough to put off your appetite. Second, I always order orange chicken, which is usually decently good, but the last time I went it actually had a salty taste instead of orange. It was nasty and I barely ate it. Last, beware of the hidden charges on your check!! We a a sizable "service fee" and when we asked the server what that was, he acted like he didn't hear us and tried to walk away. My vocal coworker asked him loudly what it was and he practically whispered, "tip". So the service fee is the tip already worked in to your check. If you don't pay attention, you'll end up double tipping. I'm sad to say that this was my last time going there, I have given it plenty of chances to get better and it just keeps getting worse.

I haven't been to this place since before the pandemic, but always enjoyed the food. Not the best Thai food, but some of the best in the western suburbs. I recently had an opportunity to get reacquainted. Thought I would share my experience. First thing I noted is that the atmosphere was very different. The lighting is very different for example. It is way too bright, and they have to amp down on the wattage. What was once a charming, almost romantic restaurant now almost feels like you're in a cafeteria. Also, I could be wrong, but I seem to recall a charming elephant statue in the restaurant that seems to have been removed. However, the food was excellent. We ordered the platter appetizer, and each one was well cooked and delicious. As to the entrées, my son had the fish and I had the duck pad Thai. I can't say if it's because of new owners or a new chef, but the food actually tasted quite a step above what I previously experienced. I would definitely go back and I would still recommend this restaurant. However, you might not want to forget your shades to wear under the surgical room type lighting they now have installed.
