Several issues-The sushi is far too expensive. A minimum price of $4 for one piece of nigiri is ridiculous.Food just comes out when it's ready. It's one thing if the sushi is ready first because it can sit but my steak was the first entree out.$4 for a soft drink and $5 for tea you'll be lucky to get a refill for. Our tea kettle broke, the waiter took it away, and then just decided to never return with another. The music they play does not compliment the atmosphere. It's like playing a workout club soundtrack in a fancy lounge. It should be classical or jazz.

I placed my pick up order 24 hours in advance but when I arrived at the pick up time, I was told that they were just starting on my order. It was ready 20 minutes later. We were very disappointed in the quality of the food. Buns were stale, we had to throw them out. The sushi was tasteless and falling apart. The ceviche had fried seafood in it. The meal was expensive and of poor quality and taste. I would not recommend this restaurant. I did reach out to the manager the next day and although he said he would pass my feedback on to the owner and get back to me, here it is a month later and no word

NY strip steak was very good, cooked as ordered. Miso cod lacked much flavor. Crab maki was fresh and well made.

Came here for my sisters bday and we were greeted by Chef Danny and seated immediately. We started out with a variety of appetizers. We tried the salted edamame, the miso soup, shishito pepper, chicken karaage, assorted tempura shrimp and diver sea scallops. They were all super tasty but really thought the star of the appetizers were the diver sea scallops which had a perfect sear and wonderful gelatinous consistency, they were perfect. The tempura shrimp were also amazing, they were large size shrimp with a light crispy and crunchy exterior. The rolls were wonderful as well, the ones that stood out the most were the spicy sexy dragon roll, the flaming 1800 and rainbow roll. The rolls had Alaskan king crab and lobster tempura which gave them an exotic flavor profile and really made the experience unique. One of the best sushi spots we have been to, highly recommended!

We were a little skeptical because of the rating, but after reading the previous reviews, it seems like food is very good, so we decided to give it a try. Service was excellent, and the ambiance was wonderful. Food was amazing! We will return again!

Amazing food, yummy cocktails and top notch service! We tried both sushi and stake - super fresh fish and great flavor for the steak. I read from other comments they have a new chef. Give it a try!

Celebrated my birthday with family here in their private dinner room. The service was great, the food was amazing and the sushi chef Danny was outstanding. The restaurant was busy, yet I was treated like I was the only one in the restaurant.Great service, definitely going back! |

This was our third dining experience at 1800 Cut and they have really turned up the heat! They brought in a new exec chef and have a new menu which is spot on for a traditional Japanese sushi/steak experience. Our food was delicious! The quality on all was top notch. I have included pictures of the Chicken Karaage, Golden crispy rice roll, Spicy girl roll, Trio maki, and the Flaming 1800 roll. The presentation was great, but the taste was even better! It looks like they have brought on additional staff, which made service this time around much better. We were able to talk with the new sushi chef about the new menu items and the owner was so friendly! The restaurant is beautiful inside! Definitely somewhere to have a nice date or bring a group for entertaining! How refreshing to have 1800 Cut right here in the Glen! Can’t wait to come back here!

We came in for dinner yesterday and we ordered several differnt maki rolls. The name of the maki roll that i really likes was the spicy sexy dragon roll that came with spicy tuna and lobster inside of it.The service was perfect. The ambience of the restaurant is modern contemporary we it works well with the layout of restaurant. We ordered some sake, the sake tasted perfect for what I was looking for yesterday. We will be back to tryout more of the other menu itiems.

Over priced and anticlimactic. Will not return, will not recommend. My husband and I love sushi and consume it frequently. First 2 minutes there to our 1st disappointment and worst business practice. Dont advertise something you arent going to provide the customer.!!!!Bottom of menu advertises happy hour M-Friday 430pm-630pm discount on drinks and food items.. Beyond obvious, since it was 445pm, that was our first question, which was met by the following response: "well actually although it is happy hour we are not offering anything at the moment because we are still working that menu out". We ordered Miso soup which was flavorless, the Shumai was overcooked and flavorless as if it had been boiled not steamed. The 1800 roll sounded phenomenal and was recommended so we ordered it. 1 piece is all I could handle because it was so salty, my husband ate it because of course we were hungry and had not eaten all day. It is said that when you are really hungry everything tastes good because of how hungry you are. NoT the case today. Let me tell you the most decent and just average edible item we had was the spicy tuna over crispy rice. Ugh, what a complete disappointment. Beginning with poor business practice to every item we ordered. Our server was about the best thing in that place. He was professional and nice. If you want to spend the money drive an extra 15 minutes.....please go to Roka Akor for the same price you will have an amazing meal that stands the test of time, time after time.
