I feel conflicted writing this review because I really wanted this to be a consistently great restaurant but unfortunately it has not been so. After 3 visits, I am disappointed to say that I have not had a consistently positive experience. First time I had their japchae which was just ok but I had the most amazing fries ever so it made up for it. I love French fries and these instantly became my favorite so I knew we would be back. Next visit the fries were exceptionally horrible. They were not the same product at all… literally felt they were Walmart frozen fries. I never complain to the waiter about the food at restaurants but I was so disappointed that i had to say something. Told the server that the fries were clearly not the same as last time and not in a good way. He said he would let the back know. Honestly, it would have been better if they said they didn’t have fries vs giving out what we got. I also had the bibimbap this time and wasn’t that great, felt things were too sweet and felt the flavors didn’t go too well together. I was so sad that I didn’t have the same fries so I decided to give them the benefit of the doubt and write it off as an off day. Came back a third time and interestingly enough, the fries were literally a mix of the good fries and the bad fries. I don’t know if they get premade fries they just fry or if they’re made fresh from raw potatos. If it’s premade and there is an issue with supply, I understand it’s not necessarily their fault but if it’s all made fresh then there has been a serious decline in the quality of product. I will say, my husband has gotten the chicken every time and he said it’s been consistently good. Which means to me that their strong point is their fried chicken. My brother went to a location in the Mall of America that only serves chicken and fries and it is consistent every single time. Unfortunately, sometimes expanding the menu means a deteriorating of quality. The picture I posted depicted the first and the second time I got their fries. You can clearly see they are drastically different products. The one on the right was the first time when they were good and the one on the left was when they were terrible

I’m not sure what the food was supposed to be but it was not Korean fried chicken. As a Korean person I was really confused by what I was eating. Even taking it out of that context, the food was objectively bland at best. It was bad enough to not warrant a second chance.

Went in on St. Patrick’s day for lunch and it was pretty empty. The girl at the front desk was very nice but the food was lacking. I’ve been to a couple of bonchon locations throughout the city and this was the worst one so far. Everything lacked sauce or it was served with none. The wings looked as if their sauce was dabbed on with a q tip and mainly only on one side. Other locations have the wings completely covered in their sauces. Ordered their bulgogi bimbimbap and their meat is usually flavored with bulgogi sauce but there really wasn’t any taste to it which would have saved the bowl of bland rice. They served it to us with no bimbimbap sauce and expected us to not know the difference. When we asked if there was supposed to be any kind of sauce for it or if can they put some of the chicken sauce on it- they offered soy or katsu sauce which made the meal taste off either way. For $15 per entree they need to let their customers know if they are missing the main components of a meal because i wouldn't have ordered bland greasy rice with no sauce. their "seasonal veggies" that come with the mixed rice was canned mushroom, romain lettuce, and bean sprouts. Was the most disappointing bonchon experience I had.

This was our first time at this location. My bibimbap was good but the spicy chicken fried rice that my mom ordered arrived about 15 minutes later and wasn’t even remotely spicy. My dad still hadn’t received his food, which was just a salad. He ended up canceling his order. Our server was friendly and apologetic, but we left feeling frustrated and disappointed. My dad also said there was no toilet paper in the restroom. This location is clearly understaffed. We will not be returning.

No coke, no sprite, a bulgogi meal that wasn’t actually bulgogi (have had it at bonchon and many other places), but what we did get was a lot of excuses as to why the bulgogi recipe just is what it is and there were no other options for us but to deal with it. As the waiter socialized with her friends dining in the restaurant and we kept waving her down, she looked at us as if we had the audacity to request service when she was busy. To add insult to injury, she automatically charged our card with her 20% tip manually applied upfront to our bill probably knowing that her service wasn’t deserving of that. Always been a fan of this place, but this is a last for us.

Second time I ordered from here this week. Thought I would give it another try. As I placed my order I explained to the girl over the phone what happened on Wednesday with the wings being dry and asked to make sure they were not dry again. And yet again they are dry agan and I asked for the spicy flavor and no taste besides them being greasy as hell.

I’ve been coming here for years. The food came out quickly and service were great. Our server Nate is awesome and sweet, he is very efficient and fast. The wings are perfect, cooked through, moist and crunchy. Parmesan fries one of the best things ever. We loved this place and will recommend and come again!
