We loved the dome experience! It was great service! The dome was decorated for St Patrick’s Day and it had blankets and pillows with heaters. It was awesome

This is no longer the Hackney's I'm familiar with. I ordered a Reuben sandwich and got a sauerkraut sandwich with one layer of corned beef. In the past, you never had to ask for cutlery and condiments, now it's a true disappointment. Yet, they are charging more and you're getting way less for your money- NO MORE!

First, I should say that I enjoyed a delicious Reuben Sandwich this evening and the people I was with also enjoyed their meals. So, two girls brought the meals to the table. Though neither of them was my server, the restaurant was fairly busy so I asked one of them if I could get a pint of Guinness. She was polite and said she'd tell my server. So, clearly she was a kitchen helper and wasn't authorized to get the beer herself, but she would find someone who could - fine, that should have been the end of the story.A little while later a waitress who also was not our server arrived at our table and asked, "who wanted a pint of Guinness here?" I said that was me. Then I noticed she didn't have the Guinness. She looked at me and said "those girls are too young, they can't serve you alcohol". It sounded like an accusation. I said something like I didn't necessarily expect HER to serve it, I was just requesting one. Now, this may seem like a small point, but I've never had a server in any establishment who actually took the time to stop what she was doing to walk over to my table just to tell me I'd ordered a beer incorrectly. That interaction should never have happened.A good waitress would have understood what had occurred and just poured the beer and brought it to my table. Why this waitress felt like she needed to lecture me in front of my family and other diners is beyond me. I won't be going back again.

What I think is fantastic is the dome seating outside, cozy and warm, decorated with care. I had a burger and fries. It was satisfying. Love the half price bottles of wine on Tuesdays, which I shared with a friend. The service was attentive and friendly. Fun dinner with a good friend!

Love those domes. Warm and toasty and still joyously decorated for Valentine's Day. Good food and an excellent server. PLUS I had a coupon for a free entree which I shared with my 2 companions. Thanks for a nice lunch!

It was a new and different experience. The domes were very warm inside. Service was provided through the zippered window in order to keep the dome warm. Our server was fantastic and very conscientious. I recommend the dome experience.

Hackney"s was where I learned to love fried onions and a family favorite. Today, the four of us were a little disappointed. The brick of.onion still delicious... 4 oz Burger not so much. would definitely get the 8 oz next time as it was more of a meaty burger rather than a flat 4 oz premade. I enjoyed the coleslaw because it is not really sweet. But the real disappointment was our server, Oscar. He had obvious impatience with my elderly aunt, Not even asking what side she wanted, just going to presume because she was taking a minute to decide. And she asked if her burger could be cut in half which did not happen, Probably he didn't even hear It as it seemed he was just brushing off the request as he walked away, and it did not arrive cut in half for her. She did order the sweet potato fries and they were tasty. He did not check back with us until almost the end of the meal and that was when I asked him to replace the spinach with cole slaw...seriously don't order the spinach. We gave Oscar 20% but he definitely didn't earn or deserve it.

Everything was fine with the exception that I noticed a sign on the wall for the staff to remind customers that there is a walk-in fee of $5 for the domes. I took this as a walk-in (meaning with no reservations). We were surprised to see a $5 charge when we received our check and mentioned it to our waitress that we had reservations. She said it refers to everyone who uses the domes. The Open Table reservations did not state a fee as far as I know.

It's a great neighborhood-type place. I hadn't been here for almost 20 years, but being in the area and wanting a good burger, well there I was.My wife had a chicken wrap she loved. My aunt had the small Hackney Burger, which she loved. And I went with the classic Hackney Burger with American. It was as great a burger as I remembered. The bottomless fries didn't hurt either, though, to be honest, the three of us barely finished the first plate. The place was warm and comfy, perfect for a cold afternoon. The inside isn't posh, but the service was as great at the food.

The burger was well seasoned and really juicy but I'll have to try it again with another bread other than rye. The onion brick is a fun experience and something you should try at least once. I really enjoyed the service at Hackney's. Our server was very kind and noticed when we were running out of things.
