Both the ambiance and service were perfect. Food not so much. Food is served on styrofoam plates, that was the first clue. I guarantee my Rueben and my sister's grilled ham and cheese were microwaved. No way the interior of the sandwiches got that hot on a grill top. Disappointed with the food and the presentation of it.

Great food, economical, good service. Kind of a homey neighborhood bar atmosphere. Nothing fancy, but a friendly place. My only drawback is cash only, and no separate checks with a group. Bring your calculator! LOL

I had passed Meier's Tavern for years and decided to stop there today. I was not disappointed. The Patty Melt was the best I've had in years! The atmosphere was appealingly old school, the service was casual and friendly. Needless to say, I'll be back
