Sadly, nothing good to say. The menu is extremely limited and the food is just not good. The tables were sticky and the service was nothing more than delivery. We were so happy to find an all you can eat sushi closeTo Home. However, once and done. We didn't have an issue with a limit of three orders; it wasn't good enough to fill up on bad food. The 18% added gratuity was a joke. I wish I had read the other reviews before i wasted $100.

The only thing I did not like was the prices... I have been to better places to eat sushi and the prices wasn't this expensive. It's not like this is in downtown Chicago with an amazing view. Then I could see why things are so expensive. Definitely a one time restaurant like once you see your bill you will mostly say the same. To the owner: LOWER THE COST OF YOUR FOOD... BIG MONEY BIG MONEY ? ? ? ?. Your sushi is good but it's not that good.

Very cute restaurant. Service was quick, food tastes fresh and yummy! Perfect for a family of five who love sharing a lot of different items!

The food is disgusting. We went there for all you can eat and THERE WAS HAIR FOUND IN THE SUSHI . Picture is attached and the guy tried to tell me it was part of the potato. That disgusted me so I didn't eat the rest of the sushi. So then they have the nerve to charge me EXTRA money because I didn't finish the sushi since I felt disgusted after I saw a piece of hair. The worker there couldn't get a super visor for me . SO JUST REMEMBER IF YOU FIND HAIR OR ANYTHING YOUR FOOD , THEY DO NOT CARE AND EXPECT YOU TO STILL FINISH YOUR FOOD AND PAY OR YOU WILL GET CHARGED EXTRA FOR THE LEFT OVERS.

Standard all you can eat sushi. The food came out quick and everything tasted great! The place has a lot of stuff that seems to be under construction but overall a good experience.

Walked in and waited a few minutes, no one paid me any mind. A couple walked in a few minutes later and were seated immediately. Waitress was inattentive and disinterested. The only reason this review isn't 1 star is because of the busser. He was very kind, took our AYCE sheets for us when the waitress wouldn't come to our table, and also brought us our drinks. The food was okay, I appreciate that they didn't load the rolls and nigiri with rice like some other AYCE sushi places I've been to.

Sub par sushi. Super thin slices of fish and there were ingredients on almost every roll that they don't list on the menu. I ordered delivery and was careful not to order any rolls with eel sauce and the sweet potato roll had eel sauce and tobiko(well- not quite sure if it was tobiko). California roll had minced crab meat that was held together with Mayo (also not mentioned on menu)Asked for extra soy sauce and they wouldn't give it. Only two small packets.

1st visit for dinner, as it is nearby and want a quick dinner. Pleasant greeting, not desirable table, small for 3 of us and back cushion is cracked with some cushion filling falling onto seat. Menu was simple and surprise, as we were not expected an All you can eat place. Menu items were main stream, with all common Japanese food items. Serving was quick after ordered. Taste of food is good, better than expected and fresh tasting as well. Although cook chef and sushi chef were not Asian nor Japanese, yet their preparations of sushi and food products were better than expected. Good job, servers were friendly enough and polite. Adequate atmosphere, could be nicer, and more inviting. Clean and homey feel for causal dinning. However, the gratitude/tips of serves were mandatory added to the bill, rendering no initiative to serve guess better, the rate for the tips was slightly high, yet reasonable! A common practice in restaurants in Asians countries, seldom seen in Chicago but not an unreasonable practice!Price level is good/ moderate for it's location and area specific. Overall, a positive and nice experience and highly recommended to try and to visit again and again. Will give it another time to gain positive comments.

Believe you me that the marginal ratings people posting are for a good reason! We've been to Sakura 4 times; last time I did the all you can eat sushi, and they will charge everyone at the table the all-you-can-eat price even if your kid has a small plate of California rolls. The shady thing is that they don't tell you; you have to read the fine print on the order sheet which is not made available to all at the able. Oh, they charge a gratuity of 18% if you do the all you can eat, and expect you to give them tip on top of that.So here the straw that broke the camel's back: the sushi/sashimi they serve was not fresh and it smelled. Just as an added service, they are rude and dismissive. What are the owners thinking? The other Korean (?) dishes are mediocre at best. Think twice about the dinning here!

My parents and I went here yesterday for dinner, we ordered all you can eat sushi. We got our soup and salad first, soup was OK, but the salad dressing had a weird smell, almost smells like the food was rotten. But Waitress said that's how it smells... but for us, we lost our appetite because of that smell, so we didn't touch the salad. Then we got our Maki, and we were actually enjoying the maki. And then sushi came out. We were actually surprised at how decent it looked. I had one sake sushi, and my dad had sake and went for taco sushi. That's when my dad chewed on something, and he pulled it out.. it was part of iron scrubber... we all lost our appetite that moment and put down the chopsticks. My dad went straight to the bathroom, and he threw up everything. I called Waitress and showed her what we found inside sushi. She took that and went to her sushi bar guy without saying sorry or apologizing. We were sitting there upset with service and how they served food and worrying cleaness, we couldn't touch anything anymore. The waitress was just standing there and kept saying "oh that never happened before." And I was thinking "... so? It happened, and the first thing you do is just take the plate away went to sushi bar, and ask what that is? Without any sorry?" Was more upset with how she took care of this situation. She told the other waiter and he started calling somewhere then she brought the phone to us and my dad spoke to I guess the owner of this restaurant? He told him we are not eating anymore and this is unacceptable. Then we left the restaurant leaving food as you see below. We would not recommend it to anyone nor going back here.

You can trust the poor reviews of this restaurant. They got my pick up order wrong. The hibachi steak was salty. The fried rice tasted Korean rather than Japanese. Service was also poor. I do not recommend giving this place a visit at all.

Fish was super dry for the nigiri. The server was nice, but the manager or owner wasn't too pleased when we said we wouldn't eat the nigiri. Rolls are good. Too much Mayo on the crispy rice

Was hesitant to book this place because of reviews. But we were doing a larger, last minute family gathering and they had the space for us to be for a few hours. Sushi was mostly fresh but too much rice. Apps were pretty good and enjoyed the crab puffs. Food came out fast which was nice. And other dishes off menu were just sub-par. The servers were great in terms of grabbing what we needed when we asked. Thank you for that. We are a bit of a noisy crowd without a doubt but once I became the organizer, I had to be the one asking for refills, clearing plates, etc.- the types of things that hopefully they would be in charge of especially with a no-so-busy restaurant. Overall we appreciate the space and time to be together but I probably would not be back for the food.

you get more rice than sushi... don't recommend. quality of fish tastes old, lacks color, and just overall looked sad. had no flavor and not worth a visit back despite a "coupon" for next dine in. i recommend you go else where. did the AYCE option and was very limited on what could get. pretty stern on if you don't finish everything they will charge you too!
