There is No customer service anymore there.Everything is automatic ano customer service.You order from a kiosk, a person calls your number when your order is done, where you have to go pick up.The inside of the restaurant was filthy, all tables were not clean and stuff all over the place.Needless to say I will NOT BE BACK!!!

Myself, my wife and my son who is 8 years old went to this specific steak and shake location because we were in the area. We had visited the Christmas light show across the street. We have not been in a steak 'n shake in quite a long time. The ordering process was simple with the touch screen. When the food came out it was hot. However, the restaurant itself was not maintained or clean by any of the people working there. The bathrooms needed attention. The staff overall were kind, however, when I ordered a juice for my son it was not refrigerated. They did offer to replace juice, however I declined. All said and done, we will not be needing to come back to the area, so we will not be going back to this particular location.

So sad, no one to work and you have to change your Menu. Just came back to try you guys out, it's a shame that Chili Mac is ruined, Hardly any meat even though I got double meat hardly any sauce and just a 1/2 pound of spaghetti noodles and no parmesan cheese instead they put some shredded c*** on it. still got the best banana ice cream in town but I won't be eating your food anymore

I’ve been going to Steak & Shake for years with my family. This location in Glenview is my go to destination because we live in Glenview. You can order what you need on the computer inside. They also have an amazing app that gives rewards and points as often as you dine inn. This specific location is always very clean and organized. I always see their staff smile and bring your order to the table.Parking: Very nice parking lotKid-friendliness: They are very kid friendly overall . They have cute foldable hats with crayons you can have your child color and put on their own hat. It’s a place that you defiantly know they will make your burger just they way your kid will enjoy it. The entire family is eating burgers and are happy ?

It has been a while since I've been to Steak and Shake. Now you order at a kiosk, pay and they call your number and you pick up your food at the counter. You get your own drink but you have to prompt them to give you a cup.This location was bright, clean and looked as if the furniture had been replaced. I remember it before as kinda grimy so it looked refreshed and upgraded.Our order was up quickly. The quality of the single steak burger was as I remembered it -- slightly a step above McDonalds -- although the skinny shoestring fries were excellent -- thin, crispy and hot and very plentiful.

Major upgrade?! No more servers to take your order. Order at the kiosk and sit, self-serve. Grab your own drinks, napkins, utensils. Name is called and you grab your food at the front. Food came out at an average time. Quick 'sit down' meal. It was a nice clean diner feel. Such a similar dining process to Portillo's, cool! I had a nice experience!

First of all, I haven't eaten at Steak N Shake in awhile, so I wasn't sure what to expect. Happy to report I left very satisfied. I did my research like always , and a lot of the previous yelpers made it clear they were having staffing problems for quite awhile, but that has been resolved . They have 4 kiosks up front to order from instead of a cashier at the counter. This allows them to focus more on getting people through drive thru and it's less employees needed to be hired. They also don't have waiters checking in on tables anymore, though I wouldn't have expected this kind of place to. The place was mostly empty, but there were a bunch of vehicles in the drive thru lane. Nevertheless, our order came out in a reasonable amount of time. The fries came out great, with a perfect crispy and savory flavor. The onion rings were also a hit. (I haven't had those in a while either, so it was great to be reunited with an old friend.) The steak frank was grilled perfectly, and they even gave the bun a nice toasting.I finished the night off with a mint Oreo shake. Topped off with whipped cream, cookie dust and a sweet cherry, it was delightful way to complete the meal. My friend seemed very satisfied with his burger as well, and we plan on returning. I didn't mind dining in a quiet restaurant, as sometimes that's what the doctor ordered. The ONLY thing that I would look to improve would the restrooms, as they have seen better days. It looked like someone shaved in one of the sinks, and there was a little bit of an odor (it is a bathroom though, so that's to be expected). This why my review lacks a star. At the end of the day, it was good food at a good value, and I anxiously awaited my next visit.

I came on 9/15 at 8:53pm and let me tell you, it was BUSY!! But the staff was handling business! While at the window I even heard a “you’re doing great Laura”, which shows how calm, patient, and supportive this team was during such a hectic time with one another! even as i was leaving the drive thru alone was crazy. I am so impressed with this place and its ability to work together with such compassion and care. and my food is as hot and delicious! thanks guys!
