Garden Gate Tea Room has been around for over 20 years and is really a staple in Granite city. If you're looking for something a little more upscale, reasonably priced, and delicious to boot, Garden Gate Tea Room really is the place to go.

Garden Gate Tea Room is a hidden gem in Granite City! The owner has such a knack for uniquely decorating all of her spaces and the Tea Room is no exception! It is so cute. I have been coming here for many years, even at their old location. I have always loved their lobster bisque and chicken salad. On my most recent trip, my mom and I tried the spinach and artichoke dip after noticing every single other table had ordered it. Well, let me tell you there is a reason for that. It was freaking amazing! They fry tortilla pieces until they are light, flaky and warm. Oh my! That combined with the perfectly flavored dip was unbelievable! I can see why several folks came in by themselves just to eat this dip. Just get it! My mom got the taco pie and southwest salad. It is her favorite and a very generous portion. I got the chicken salad croissant and southwest salad and both were delicious! I especially loved the dressing for the southwest salad. It was a bit sweet and savory. Check the days and hours and head on over to Garden Gate Tea Room for an amazing meal!

My dad and I stopped here on the way back from the hospital in St. Louis. He had been there before, with my mom, but this was my first time. My first impression was, "What a cute place!" The seating is very comfortable, the waitstaff was very friendly and prompt. He ordered a Cuban sandwich and I ordered the fiesta, which was essentially a chili pie and a small southwest salad. I didn't try his sandwich, but I've been to Miami several times and had Cuban sandwiches there and this one looked like it could hold its own with those! My fiesta was really good, both the salad and the entree. I would definitely go back.

Excellent service! food comes out like art work. This is a very good restaurant.
The lobster bisque was very disappointing. It was white instead of the usual reddish color and tasted more like creamy potato soup. Everything else was wonderful. We each had a different sandwich and all of them were well prepared and tasted
