This place is solid for for a quick bite of Mexican food. There is a lot of Mexican restaurants in the area but this is only one of two that I know of that has a drive through which makes it so much more convenient when you just want to pick up food quick. The steak tacos are seasoned well and I love that they give you a handful of tortilla chips with the taco dinner. I also like that they automatically give you sour cream, most places you have to ask for it and get charged extra. The rice and beans are good too. The other thing I really love is their tortillas. Some of the best I've ever had. The person in the drive through is always friendly and the service is fast. I would definitely recommend this place.

This our favorite in the area. Found it last year walking over from kids basebal game. We've tried tacos, tortas, and gorditas with steak and chicken. The gorditas are our favorite. The creamy green and orange salsa are the best EVER!

Tried this place for a quick bite. Meh. The person who took my order over the phone took it wrong and when I went to pick up my food, the girl at the counter gave me the order that had been incorrectly taken. I told her that it was not what I had ordered - instead of her trying to make it right, she simply told me that the person who had taken the order was gone already. Who cares? She's incapable of correcting the order? I had to ask her to make the order again. She came back and gave me the bag with the food and didn't say a word - no thank you, no sorry, nothing. Completely lack of manners. She didn't even bother saying anything when I came in either. There was only one woman in the restaurant - otherwise empty. I can see why. completely rude and with lack of customer service. The food itself was meh - not terrible but kinda sad. The cheese on the tacos I ordered was minimal - literally a few stringy pieces of cheese that I can probably count on my hands. They also charged me a credit card fee of 0.75 - hello how about you tell your customers that there is a charge? What kind of food place charges a credit card fee without telling you? Won't be returning. Tip - get some manners and customer service skills.

If you're in need of good authentic Mexican food. This is the place!We dined in, the drive thru was packed and moving!The server was kind and attentive.There was little to no wait for our meals.I ordered a traditional dish and it tasted like home cooking!The horchata Is the best I've ever had.

We dined in! Had our pick of spot in the whole restaurant! Chips were fresh, and the salsas were delightfully spicy. The flautas I ordered were very good, my beans needed salt but that's not a deal breaker, haha. The rice was delicious, and our waitress was attentive and kind. Thanks for a great lunch!

I just felt compelled to let everybody know not to waste any of their money here despite the what seems to be mixed reviews on this place. it is absolutely atrocious and there’s no possible way that they’re going to remain in business for the next five years. I ordered a burrito, 2 tacos and a quesadilla. I think that when it comes to bad food, you can either say that it was a disappointment or it was a let down. This was a let down meaning that you take the first bite you look at the presentation of the food can you imagine OK this is gonna be pretty good. That first bite was not too bad. What else does the food have to offer and then you continue to eat the burrito or a taco or whatever you ordered And you find that the ingredients are not added or cooked in a way that are synchronous with the entire dish. I took one bite, expecting it to be good, and I continued eating out of disbelief that it never got better. I do in fact believe that they may have potential although it’s going to take some serious reconsideration with the kitchen staff and experimentation with different brands of ingredient because the intention is there the execution is simply not. My honest recommendation is that my taco express reduces the price of their menu items because they are charging for quality specific taqueria experience without being able to deliver that. For example, los Cantaritos is also in Hoffman estates and provides amazing quality food for the same price that my taco express does, and they are delivering each and every single time consistently. I would recommend as well that if they do not reduce their prices here at my taco express that you just steer clear of this option completely.

This place is a joke! They serve you a huge torta on old bread with a spoon of meat. To top it off the meat was rubbery & not fully cooked. I called to complain & no “sorry” they want me to drive it back when I’m on my lunch break! Never again!!!!!

I liked Taco Express for a nice quick taco. I recommend going. I will be going back. I have one knock! The torta. It was just ok. Maybe because I got a beef torta as opposed to a chorizo torta which I get most of the time. This was my first time here. I will be back for the chorizo torta. Also, I had a pretty large order and the order came out faster than I expected.

Ew. The place is nasty and dirty. I looked over at other people eating and the food isn’t even served well, I ended up walking out. I just can’t eat if everything is unclean.. Overall, it’s the most ghetto restaurant I have ever been to. This place was way better when it was ITALIAN

my first time trying this place today , & the food was ok I got enchiladas but my steak on there was pretty hard which disappointed me & also my enchiladas was a bit soggy as well it looks like they were out & microwaved it.
