None of my sides have stood out, wanted to love the dressing so bad and did not and the gravy was like brown water, I had to go home and make gravy the greens didn’t make me want greens again. Seems the meatloaf was the popular item when I was there that will be my last item try, keeping my fingers crossed ??

I waited to select my carryout items & believe I asked to many questions. I always expect great customer service but this experience was a complete let down. Also the questions were regarding an order I was placing for another person who wanted to try the food. Anyhoo they didn't think the quality met the price & we will not be patronizing this restaurant again.

First off my 85 yr old father fell on the cracked sidewalk when coming into the restaurant and was bleeding on the entrance floor and not one employee checked on him and he had to be taken to be checked out. Secondly, our food was pre-ordered 2 days prior for dining in. We were celebrating our family member and we were placed in this small area by the take out window. Thirdly, we still had to wait almost 2 hours for our food to come out, and it was luke warm. Dorothy (Manager)was our server, which she did smile while moving very slowly and wanted to stop and talk about everything else, but getting our entire orders out to our tables. Some of our parties food came out right away, but others were still waiting. We asked for corn muffins since we were hungry and she didn't want to give us the muffins! She told us, she'll give them to us, when our food come out! We insisted that she give them to us while we were still waiting for our food and she did reluctantly. Fourthly, she was NOT apologetic nor accommodating. She blamed everyone else, but all she had to do was her read the receipts correctly and the plastic food containers should have been labled by name. When we told her we were missing additional items and beverages that took an additional 30 minutes! She did give out 3 free desserts, but only after I asked her if she think we should be compensated. There were people in our party who had to wait over 2 hours to receive their entire pre-ordered and paid for food. Our overall experience was terrible!

Delicious food, friendly staff and spacious seating choices. Gets busy sometimes so calling and paying ahead of time will save you from waiting in line!
Finally! Some good soul food from a restaurant. I only tried the Mac n cheese is was creamy but not that great to me it tasted a bit sour. Then again I'm not into mac n cheese. The sweet potatoes, cornbread and chicken were delicious. I'm looking forward to trying the beef short ribs, dressing and pinto beans next time.

The ribs was old. You can tell that they were reheated cooked prior like day before and plus my order. Majority of my ribs was burnt. I had to get more macaroni and cheese wasn’t so good. It taste like box, macaroni and cheese and the meatloaf was too salty.

We arrived here after an overnight stay at the water park. My granddaughter had worked up an appetite and she wanted some Salmon. They didn’t have Salmon but they had catfish. We got a catfish dinner and a grilled wing dinner greens, yams, Mac and cheese. The catfish and greens were fantastic. She gave me a thumbs up, she ate two servings of greens and both fillets of catfish. I ordered the grilled wings but they wreaked of lighter fluid or chemicals, I was a bit disappointed, I ate the Mac and cheese and the yams and both corn breads but I am definitely going to sample it before I leave next time because I know they had to do know, if I’m not mistaken I think I saw the “grilled “ wings sitting in a gravy or something. Anyway we would definitely go back to give them another try.Update:I went back to give the baked wings a redo and they were the bomb as well as The greens, the Mac, the yams and the dressing but what stood out the most was the hospitality. That southern hospitality from way back in the day.. It reminded me of my trips to Mississippi when I was a child.
