I was there for a Wedding Shower. The food was very good, and the service was outstanding. I would recommend Yummy Bowl for regular dining, or for special occasions.Dietary restrictions: Some people were gluten free and vegetarian. They accommodated all requests without a problem.

Well prepared. We had hot and sour soup, followed by 4 seasons with shrimp. I had spicy vegetables and noodles with beef. The beef was very tender. The noodles were homemade. Piano music in the background was pleasant and slightly romantic. Will absolutely do it again.

To be fair (to be fay-ahhh), I only carried out, but the food was delicious. And the Blue Square on the back of the fortune cookies is noted and much appreciated. Treat yourself.

The three times I've been here in the past six months have been consistently good. The portions & the quality along with the service are all better than average. The atmosphere is a little bit bland though.

I felt compelled to make this review since the restaurant seems to be getting unfairly review bombed with 1-star reviews for whatever reason on google.I've been going to this restaurant for almost ten years now, and it's probably the best Chinese restaurant I've found within the area (seems particularly difficult to find decent Chinese in the northern suburbs). The food tastes fresh and is clearly much higher quality than the usual American Chinese fare that typically tries to make up for the lousy quality with gigantic portions. The orange chicken and empress chicken are my go-to dishes. Both are especially good if you eat them in the restaurant on the spot before the sauce takes away the crispiness of the chicken. The hot and sour soup is top notch as well. The only thing that's fallen off in recent years is the crab rangoon. It's still good, but it used to be amazing--just like I remember crab rangoon tasting in the early 90s before restaurants started using imitation crab, then no crab at all, then next to no cream cheese. Very sad to see it change.I've always received friendly service at the restaurant, and the atmosphere is clean, elegant, and relaxing. I try to make a point of eating here whenever I visit Highland Park.

Owner is extremely rude and mentioning her about excessive wait time is useless …

I don’t relish doing this but…. This is the single worst Chinese restaurant potentially restaurant in general I’ve ever experienced. The food is inedible just absolutely awful. Texturally, flavor profile, ingredient quality, freshness of fruits. I’m not sure what the “chicken” was but it certainly wasn’t any type of food I’ve ever experienced. Don’t eat here!

Okay Chinese restaurant with Thai food offerings in downtown Highland Park. Good variety of options including gluten free dishes, but quality is only average for a North suburban Chinese restaurant. The chicken in the sweet and sour chicken dish was dry, pad Thai was sparse on egg and veggies (spouse not happy with the chicken in that dish), and the rice was a little dry/old, but my black bean chicken was fine. My son ordered Kung pao chicken and got fish instead, which was weird. I asked our waiter, who assured us it was chicken, but we're not idiots--i'm Chinese and I've eaten fish my whole life. Chicken meat is not bright white and flaky!Dining here is probably fine if you don't have any hang ups about your Chinese food being really authentic. Prices were good for the volume of food and our server was pleasant. He basically gave my family egg drop soup for free. It'll do the job if you just want to fill up.

Got 3 dishes for take out. The food was very average and gave us food poisoning. Unfortunately wouldn’t recommend even for the price and with the limited other asian restaurants in the

Simply terrible. Food was bland and greasy. Service was good, though, and waiters were kind.

Head carry out from this restaurant tonight. They were just awful. I’ve been eating Chinese food, my whole life, but the flavors and quality or not good. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend.
