“A group of us visited the 501 Blues Bar last night and had a blast! There were three guitarists, bass, drummer, and steel pedal at the back of the room, and they played country, rock, classics, blues, folkrock, and even told a few quick one-liners celebrating their longevity and love life -- or lack thereof. While we were sipping beers [$17.50 for two Busch and five Stags, by the way], guys kept coming in and setting their guitar cases on the pool table, lining up for the next set, I suppose. Everyone was super friendly, and the blues-singing bass player said he appreciated us coming in and clapping for them so much that he'd buy us a round next time we came in. No, man, we're going to set 'em up on the bar for you boys next time we go! And did I mention that they had the Cards game on on every tv? Yeah!!“

“It’s just a terrific bar and grill. The flattop grill is so well seasoned, the burgers are delicious. Chili is great but only available in cooler/cold months. Sloppy Joes in warm weather. If you’re nearby, it’s a must-do dining experience.“

“Was in town for a wedding and had some locals telling me I had to go to Chippers and others warning me not to go... glad I listened to the ones telling me to go. Had such a good time we went back a second time. Great people, good drinks, and outstanding service. If you're looking for a good time go to Chippers and say Hey! to Kristy...I'm sure she's there.“

“The bar is set in military decor that I found very awesome. Amanda the bartender was great, very personable and hard working. The beer garden is very nice and a comfortable place to relax with a cocktail. I look forward to another trip here soon.“

“I truly like this place. Great bar buckled to the restaurant so if you're looking for the comfort of a casual bar with a good selection or looking for a good menu, The Railshake is worth checking out. Visited last weekend and enjoyed the Flight of soups. Good eats.“

“Outstanding local bar with great drinks, atmosphere, and people. Highly recommend stopping in and you have to get a bucket. We had the original and the tropical buckets and both were great. You also have to try an Apple Pie Shot, they're amazing!!“

“Awesome little historic bar in this quaint town. I usually come for the catfish in April and May every Friday night. Caution it's packed and the locals run everywhere. But it's nice to have a cig out back on the patio and enjoy a sunset over a whole catfish bones and all. Not a fancy place but the oh my the fish is amazing. They really should sell it year round if they could handle the crowd.“

The owner holds many events for his customers throughout the year, helps out with the community with charities and host a lot of parties for many locals. The bar is well known for the Famous country singer Gretchen Wilson. The cute little bar is a local favorite! They have weekly specials and always have some tasty wings!“

“Love, love, love! Place is beautiful, clean, nice decor. The bartender on duty was super friendly. Only 2 small complaints...1) wish there were more machines 2) with the fireplace on it was kinda hot. But overall, had an amazing time and can't wait to go back!“
