The food and service was great! They also accommodated my request to surprise my friend with a little birthday pastry at the end of the meal. Another nice bonus was the ease of parking right outside of the restaurant!

Last Friday.. The steak was tough.. barely edible. As were the brussel sprouts. Our wait staff was very non attentive even though at 5;30, the restraunt was half full. Unfortunate!!

We were three women. Everything was very nice. The food was perfect. The only thing that bothered my friends was that the asparagus was cold under the salmon. It didn't bother me, but they would have liked it a little warmer. All in all, great experience.

First time at Scottys. Service was excellent. Food was delicious. We had the mussels, ann apple salad, a pizza- very hard crust but good, salmon and the pork chops. Only thing- it is very loud. Come for-the food and talk later. Not a place for dates. Too loud. Easy parking, and the wine was very good.

The ribs are always my favorite and best in town but I tried the chicken milanese and loved it - super light and loved the lemon sauce .... burger special and pizza also delicious! Scotty is always an epic host!

5 people and no one had a good meal. Salad special was too salty. The dinner took an hour and our server Molly told us it's because two people ordered a salad. Food was bland, cold or simply not spiced properly. Served potato chips with a turkey burger. Potato chips? Really? Even the ginger ale was too sweet. Don't you check your canisters? Never go back.

Thanks to Open Table, we made our first visit to Scotty's and we're glad we did. We were greeted warmly and well cared for by Jay and others. Food was delicious and beautifully presented. I had the Chicken Milanese, which will be even better once tomatoes are in season and my husband loved his Walleye and Mussels (a special) and his profiteroles.

I really like this place. Seated immediately for a 5pm Sunday reservation, we were greeted by a wonderful server who never disappointed. Orders taken promptly, drinks refilled and questions answered. The food was delicious, from fish to steak to burger(a tad slow receiving our food but that really wasn't a problem and it happens in most restaurants we've visited recently). Scotty's is relatively small and filled up quickly with what seemed like regulars, and the noise level increased as well...but that's to be expected in a friendly neighborhood joint. We've been disappointed by a couple of other restaurants in Highwood but recommend this one without question.

this was the first time at Scottys. The it was s Sunday evening so the place was not real busy. The waiter and staff were very attentive without being annoying. I started out with one of the best dirty martini's I have ever had. The food was delicious. I had the Whitefish and my wife had the Chicken sandwich. Both were prepared very nicely. I would absolutely go back again. They have a wide range of choices

We are from out of state and had the most wonderful experience at Scottie's! The bar was so cozy to begin our evening with and the dining room equally wonderful. The service was warm and welcoming; everyone! We took our servers suggestions for ordering our food and she was spot on! Delicious with a beautiful presentation. I imagine we couldn't have gone wrong no matter what we ordered because it all looked amazing. I highly recommend Scottie's!

We came from out of state and randomly chose Scotty's on Sheridan. We are so happy we did because everything about Scotty's was fabulous! The bar was so cozy and inviting to sit at for a drink before dinner and the dining room was small, yet didn't seem crowded. I felt like I was in a European restaurant it was so intimate. Our server was exceptional and we ordered what she recommended, (however she told us we couldn't go wrong with anything on the menu and I believe she was right). Our food was top notch and the presentation beautiful. I highly recommend going to Scotty's. I know when we return to the Chicago area, we will definitely go back!

We arrived a little after 5:00 PM. They just opened. We had no reservation and chose to sit at the bar. The early crowd appeared to be the Seniors who were all to familiar with Scotty. Warm wishes of HNY and conversations were everywhere. The bar service was excellent. We enjoyed a wedge salad which was divided and chopped (delicious). Next we shared a pizza. Cooked perfectly, topped with spinach. The pizza is thin and crispy. Desert was a warm brownie a-la mode with walnuts and cinnamon. You wouldn't think much, seeing this place from the road. Scotty's sits in the middle of a strip mall. The interior however, is cozy, quiet, with just enough light. The Wine and Spirits terrific. Bonus: The wine is a generous pour. We will definitely be back. Well done Scotty.
