Went in at 2.00 pm in afternoon ordered 1 beer, tipped 1 dollar then women who gave me one beer said she smelled alcohol on my breath and refused to give me another beer, I was gambling in there for half hour and was in no way intoxicated, I am a senior citizen and could not believe I was told you cannot have a drink. I was completely stunned!!! I do not recommend this place to any senior citizen, I will never go in that establishment again and recommend that any senior who wants to support neighborhood establishments to go to other places. I have never felt so humiliated in my life and have always drank responsibly in establishments in the area and felt discriminated against by the women who was the attendant.

Anyway I ordered iced latte and the French toast! And the French toast was really good!! Nothing extra or special about it, it was plain and simple but it was so good! They cooked it the way I wanted, and the prices are not bad definitely would be back for the rest of the menu.

I was a good customer for Betty's for several months. However, I must share my experience at the cafe recently. I used the ATM and the there was a malfunction and the money wasn't dispensed. However, the money was deducted from my checking account. I spoke to the rep at the store and he said all he could do was call a supervisor and leave a message. The supervisor, Brandon, called him back and I was able to speak with him. Brandon said I need to take it up with my bank and quite frankly, he was rude and didn't really sounded like he cared. In my opinion, he sounded inexperienced in any kind of supervisory role. I understand how atms work and he was correct that the banks hash this out with an investigation. I wanted to record as much info as possible so I could contest the transaction with my bank. This Brandon person wouldn't give me an employee ID or even his full name. This is not a complaint about the cafe, it's cleanliness, or the on site staff. It is a complaint about the lack of appreciation of its customers and it's a complaint about this specific supervisor. It takes a lot for me to take time out of my 60 hour work week to write a review that probably won't matter anyway. But I'm doing it just in case one of you has to deal with this specific supervisor.

Staff will not leave you alone. I had to get up and leave after listening to the lady working complaining 3 times about people who don't tip. I didn't want coffee or cookies or anything except to play, but she kept offering just to get a tip. Pay your employees more and they won't have to beg.
