Food was awful! The coleslaw was so over salted that it was inedible. The cod I had with my shrimp and cod combo was so tough that I couldn't cut it with my knife. They replaced the piece of cod. The replacement piece was also tough, but not near as bad as the first piece. Our server, Amanda, was very nice and attentive.

The place is cleaning up tremendously! We went to a birthday party, but the bar was open. Staff was friendly, and party food from there was good.

Mushrooms over cooked. Took 20 minutes ! Walleye was good. Bake potato costs $1 more. Chicken was more like a pigeon and very dry. Thought we would support the Lodge. Very disorganized. Only 1 waitress. Never again been disappointed before.

It's a fish fry. OK fish and good fried chicken. My issue was I was told t it would be 20 minutes for the chicken. Over 2 hours later I finally got the chicken. Other people came in ordered and finished their food before we got ours.

Same delicious cod fish for over 3 decades. As a kid, my Grandparents would take us here to eat each Friday. I was a picky eater, but always enjoyed the Cod and vinegar and oil based coleslaw. I don’t like the mayo-based stuff. The recipe hasn’t changed over the years and is better than any other fish fry in the area. This place is a staple of southwest chicago working people culture and I hope is still going 30 years from now.

The food is always good. We dine in and carry out more during lent, but only go occasionally throughout the year. Since it's so popular during fish fry fridays, the wait time increases. It wouldn't be so bad, but with all the people and hot food, it gets a bit stuffy inside. They did turn on the fans when I noticed my baby’s cheeks were bright red from how hot it got. The servers are friendly and are really good at their job, they make it feel like we're family. We will continue to support the KoC, and Im looking forward to future renovations for the place. I recommend the combo dinner! Try everything

Always our choice for a local fish fry. Today did not disappoint. We went with the three piece Cod. Served hot and crisp. Rather large pieces. Fries were also served hot and crisp. Cole slaw is to our liking. Vinegar based... yummy. Service is steady, friendly and attentive. $$ decent for the faire. Parking not an issue.

The Friday Fish Fry was very good. Ordered the breaded walleye and it was perfect with the potato and cole slaw. Three large pieces. Service was just ok and ordered the onion rings as an appetizer and they were very hard to chew. Waaay to crunchy but the fish made up for them. Reasonable cost.

Cod was too fat, pieces were rolled up not flat and breading falling off when I got home.
