We booked a room because we were attending a wedding on the premises. We got upstairs to check in and at least 6 guests were ahead of us in line, despite the line, the check in process was quick and efficient. There were 2 desk attendants and as the line grew and 3rd came out to help. All 3 were pleasant, smiling and very helpful. The room was very nice, spacious, immaculate and comfortable. The bathroom was also spacious. We would definitely stay again.

Booked 2 rooms through expedia. Our room was next door to a suite. Apparently a wedding party booked the suite. Our second night there, the wedding party woke us up at 2 am- it was so loud in our room it sounded like 30 people were in our room. at 3 am we called security. they came up and asked the wedding party to keep down the noise. It did no good; by 4 am they finally quieted down. When we checked out later in the morning I asked about a discount or refund. I was told "this is a casino. We can't do anything for you". I didn't realize that by staying at a hotel with a casio, that means that not getting any sleep is to be expected. Not happy with the management and never staying there again.

I would give this a 0 if I could!! The managers on duty never got back to me about any of the issues and kept passing me around. There is a 3rd party consulting company that books the group rooms and Harrah's staff was unwilling to assist us with anything because they felt it was not their problem. We contacted the 3rd part company and they have failed to contact us back This was my honeymoon and they put us in the is dark burgundy ratty old suite that looked like a high roller or mafia room. The couch was saggy and looked like it had come from a garage sale, the furniture was all dusty, damaged & faded. The rugs had stains on them, the shower was corroded, and the nozzles did not work, the water temp was lukewarm and could not be fixed without them tearing out all the plumbing. They refused to give us another room. They also refused to provide maid service for us. They also did not have a room for my mom & suggested she sleep in the honeymoon suite with me! My sister-in-law's room had a urine-soaked couch cushion that she had to sleep with after they "deodorized" the room and they only gave her the $17 resort fee back for her trouble in moving to another room.

My awful experience started when trying to call to book a room. There’s literally no way to just call and get the front desk. Instead I’m forwarded to their call center where someone tried suggestive selling no less than a dozen separate things to me. This was a room for my dads wedding as a place to crash. What should have been a quick call turned into 30 minutes of flowery words and the slowest service I’ve ever had. Were they polite? Absolutely. But it shouldn’t take so long for one booking. My aunt booked a room that smelled like pee. The manager said they didn’t smell anything, but when my aunt returned to the room, one of the couch cushions was ‘mysteriously’ gone. Did they get a discount? Nope. They got the $17 resort fee removed and that’s all. The remote on my tv was also dead, and no one answered the front desk the three times I called to get new batteries. When I checked out and mentioned it, the desk attendant made it seem like my fault for not going downstairs to face to face talk to someone for the batteries. The hotel is dingy, outdated to the point that the carpets look like 80’s roller rink carpeting, and the phone system is the single worst set up program I’ve ever experienced in my life. $350 for a total dump. I’d rather stay in a motel 8 next time.

I cancelled my reservation 1 week in advance and I was still charged $45 for being a no-show & not cancelling at least 24 hours in advance. Like wtf! I’ve stayed here before, but for this specific “stay” didn’t actually stay. Also this place is super trashy. 1 star review. Pizza sucks. Hollywood Joliet is better.

Found a tobacco pouch on the floor next to the bed. Faucet is corroded. Door hasp lock pin is broke. TV has Minimal channels. Room 608. Food was great. People are great. Parking garage top level is ice covered. No attempt at salting.

Business travel sounds glamourous but usually is reducible to long workdays, a serviceable hotel by the interstate and dinner at Outbacklebees or Chilibarrel Wild Wings. Looking to break the monotony I booked myself at Harrah’s in Downtown Joliet. Just maybe I could make this trip interesting. Casino/Hotel properties can feel shabby and desperate, and I was hoping I wasn’t making a huge mistake staying in one. As I pulled into the parking deck an attendant was picking up loose trash despite the bitter cold. Surely a good sign. Hotel parking is on the third floor of the parking deck and it is a short walk over the skybridge to reception from there. At check in it was obvious that this was a place that welcomed repeat guests. The staff knew the names of the people checking in and out ahead of me and engaged them in conversations about families and the recent Thanksgiving Holiday. Even though I was not a regular I was made to feel at home and very welcome during a quick and easy check in process. In my opinion a good gym is key to a good stay. It was unclear on the website if a fitness room existed on property or if Covid had deleted it from the menu. It was a pleasant surprise to find a well outfitted, clean and well stocked (towels and water) fitness room. Equipment included a strider, treadmill, stationary bike, treadmill, cable system and free weights. Don’t expect a social experience as I worked out alone each time I used the facilities. The stationary bike could use some maintenance. My suggestion would be to take a page from Hilton properties and throw it out in favor of a Peloton bike. I understand that some guest rooms have been recently renovated my room was not one. Despite its non-renovated status the room represented well. It was huge with a king bed, a sofa a chair, a coffee table and an office chair and desk. While a reno would have spiffed the place up (website shows the renovated rooms) I found it to be clean and at least above average when compared to the interstate exit hotel brands. Speaking of that I was able to compare cost as the rest of my team was staying at a Hampton Inn locally and were paying $30 more a night than I was. One other plus, hot water any time of the day. During several recent stays at fancy schmancy hotels I have been rewarded with cold morning showers. Not Harrahs, hot water on tap 24/7. Rooms have coffee machines which is a plus because I had to roll out before the Starbucks in the Casino opened at 0600. When it is 15 degrees outside, finding food within one’s hotel can be a matter of survival. Harrah’s had this covered with a few caveats. This property is clearly set up to cater to folks looking for a long weekend getaway. The food and beverage choices increase significantly Thursday through Sunday. The best food/bar venues are closed Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. I got in on a Sunday and had some nice drinks and a great meal at the Sheer Bar. The food comes out of the Reserve restaurant, and I found it to be excellent. The bartenders were very social, and one got the feeling that most everyone knew everyone else from repeat visits. If you do find yourself at this hotel on a Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday you won’t starve, there is a Casino Café and a pizzeria that serve food when the fancy places are closed. Alternatively, you can wander and check out some of the local spots within walking distance. A walk around downtown Joliet Illinois is just about the perfect contrast of Grittiness and Charm. There is a cold edge to it with shuttered storefronts and an abandoned stone cathedral in need of razing. It feels grey and heavy at first but as you walk you start to notice warm light seeping out from storefronts and restaurants. The art deco Rialto theater surrounded by eateries, a beautiful, renovated Union Station, and a modern baseball park. Head north on Chicago Street and you will find Juliet’s Tavern. Great atmosphere on a cold night. Menu is fancy pub food with some real fine dining options like Oysters Rockefeller, nice pastas and some excellent steak options. Bar was well stoc

We stayed at this hotel for my friends wedding. I call the front desk at 7am and speak to the lady and ask her to do a 2pm late checkout for us so we can sleep in longer and not have to drive home on a few hours of sleep after a wedding. We get woken up at 11am by housekeeping knocking on the door and we tell them no thank you. Then housekeeping calls us at 1130am and we tell them we have the 2pm late checkout and she says she will make a note so no one bothers us again. Then at 12pm the front desk calls us to tell us our checkout is over and wants to charge us another day! I had to explain to her that we called earlier and have the 2pm late checkout. When we finally go to checkout I ask for the $35 late check out fee to be removed because the whole reason we did that was to sleep longer but instead we get disturbed 3 times after speaking with 3 different people about the same thing! I explained to the lady at the front desk that we pay for a service and if that service is not performed why should we have to pay for it. She says theres nothing I can do. I ask to speak with the manager and she goes in the back for a couple seconds and comes back out and says theres nothing the manager can do. So I ask to speak to someone higher up and the lady says there is no one higher up than the manager....I tell her that I want the manager to come out here and speak to me personal. The manager never comes out and they say they can only waive the resort fee. So after hearing how upset I was about this situation, they chose to ignore customer satisfaction for a $35 fee and made me argue for 15 minutes to get the $17 resort fee waived. This could have been a positive review if they simply would have waived the fee instead of upsetting me further and wasting more of my time. Avoid this hotel if you can.

I stay at the Harrahs Joliet numerous times throughout the year and the hotel and staff never cease to amaze me! The rooms are always clean, the beds are comfy, the machines are not stingy and the staff is always pleasant.

I drove a distance to get to this establishment, so I wanted to unwind with a nice, hot shower. To my amazement, I found a small roach on the bathroom wall. I took a picture of it and went back downstairs to ask for a new room. It was treated like it was no big deal and was given new keys, no apology or accommodations. I had someone come to my new room and ask to take a picture of the photo I took. Why did you just go to the room to investigate? This is how you treat Diamond status customers..... I immediately canceled my room for the coming week.

Without that personal caring, it would have been only a 3 star review. Everything was like you could it expect in a hotel of this category. But nothing special and I have to admit: some improvements could be done… So Reuben (who is with this hotel for more than 20 years) earned 2 more stars, because he cared for me and make me a real valued guest. Thank you, Reuben!!

AS we are Caesar's Rewards members we stay at quite a few of their propereties. This is one of the worst. It is showing it's age with peeling wallpaper and dark hallways. I was trying to do some work on my computer and the wifi kept shutting off. I called the front desk and was told that this was a problem since they got a new system. The next moring I asked the manager why there was an "amenity fee" if the amenities were not working. Because of the lack of wifi the business center was iffy and any computer work in the rooms was on and off. There was no given explaination, except that the fee also covers the parking garage and the gym. If you aren't using those things why should you have to pay a fee? i would much rather pay for thies things only if I use them.
