This place is not worth going to for fish dinners. My husband, sister, and I were there this past Friday, and we got 3 costly dinners. We ordered the 2 piece cod fish dinner. My husband and I didn't want the fries and substituted it for the baked potatoes, which was each $1.50 more. When we got the baked potatoes, they were all brownish color and looked like they were sitting around for a while. So. We had the waitress send them back and got the fries instead. You would think for what we paid for each dinner that you wouldn't get charged extra if you didn't want the fries. Never again am I ever going back there again and I don't recommend this place to anybody.

So it’s Friday night, and you are feeling fish. You decide to order take out at your local vfw. Now, don’t let this photo fool you. It may look as though this isn’t to bad right? Wrong. If you are looking for a meal that is subpar at best here it is. What a shame. The fish had no flavor or crispness what so ever. Not to mention, the oil that was used to cook it was definitely old and this was dinner was not made fresh. None of it. It had been fried probably before any orders came in and left to sit under a warmer until ready to go. Terrible. Dinners were also missing things like the coleslaw and rolls. The one coleslaw we did get also didn’t have any flavor. Should have thought something was up when on Friday night for something like this, there is one table seated and overall its dead. Will definitely never order food again. Sorry.

Our family gathered there after my veteran fathers funeral service. I felt very welcomed by the bar staff and even the fellow veterans that were there. Thank you for helping our family in our time of need.

They helped with a dinner after mom's funeral at Lincoln cemetery. Great people, great food. Thank you very much! A fellow vet.

Very hospitable staff. Took care of me without knowing that I was in the service. 5/5 recommend.

Nice place to relax have a cocktail or two and enjoy some conversation, with a friendly veterans organization. All these veterans groups need support, visiting some of them from time to time will show our gratitude for what they did in our countries time of need.

We have bee. To Stone City VFW for several family get together and parties and this place never disappoints. The parking is huge and we never have any problems finding a parking space. The do have another separate building for larger parties to rent. Great size for a graduation party, family reunion, baby shower, or a large holiday get togther. The drinks are cheap and made so good (extra strong lol unlike other bars)The service is top-notch the ladies are always nice, helpful, and makes you feel like a regular.I haven't tried to food, we always have it cater in due to traditions. But the service, drinks, and business definitely 5 stars

Our legion post goes there at least once a year when they have Wreaths across America. They host a luncheon for all those who were out at the cemetery putting the wreaths out. They are all volunteers and they do a great job because there Must be at least 300 to 400 people that come there for the luncheon
